What would be a good way to get into Robotics?
Question by E-Man: What would be a good way to get into Robotics?
I am completely new, I was just wondering if there was a good website, book, video, or movie I could look at? What would I have to do to build from completely scratch like this guy?
Also, do you need to know how to program?

You did not specify if you have any electrical / electronics
background.
To do what is being done in the video on your
link will require at least the equivalent of a couple of years
of high school electronics.
You can, as I did, teach yourself.
There are available robotic experimenter kits.
This would be a good place to start.
Here is a starting place:
http://www.kitsusa.net/phpstore/index.php
From this Google Search search [Robotic experimenter kits]
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=Robotic+experimenter+kits&btnG=Google+Search&rlz=1R2GGLL_en&aq=f&oq=
As far as knowing how to program, this is something that will happen is you progress. Your first robotics project should be something simple and inexpensive and should require no programming knowledge.
Other Google Searches you can look at:
[robotic experiments]

[Learning robotics]

If you want more, like building your own printed circuit boards, etc.
