Question by John: what programming language should I learn for robotics clubs?
I know a little bit of java. should i learn C++ or what? Please help. Thanks.

Depends on what robotics clubs you take. There are companies like Vex which require (basically) no programming knowledge at all — the most you would need to know how to do is to drag and drop.
But to be safe, pretty much any knowledge at all is satisfactory. It usually is very straightforward and repetitive. If you know a little bit of java, such as loops (especially whiles), if’s and elses, and some switch cases you’ll be fine. You don’t need to learn C++ as it is just relearning what you already know (the concepts are the same). However, if you want to, then go for it. If not, I would just stick with java as it is, I believe, to be a much stronger starting language.
