Then our economy would have probably collapsed.

We can’t afford to prop up an inefficient energy sector that big.

Too late Asian countries own Robotics.

Renewable energy isn’t a big job creator.

How many people does it take to run a solar or wind farm? If designed correctly, the answer could be 0.

What if there is suddenly peace in the world. Nice dream, unfortunately there is not and we still need guns and soldiers. Green energy will come some day, it will have to, but right now all that stuff is in the early stage of development. Wind and solar supplies what – about 3% of the energy we use today and we will need much more in the future.

Great, if that is because that is where market forces took the workforce. And market forces will if traditionally energy becomes so unaffordable that there is more money to be made in renewables. But there is a flaw in the idea that the robotics industry will ever employ masses of people. Not that their might not be huge numbers of unimaginably sophisticated intelligent robots some day. But those will be build by robots, not people.

The best offense is a great defense. In our case the whole Dept. of Defense. It’s what allows you to write whatever you want on your computer without the Taliban breaking down your door and cutting off your head. There are a lot of people out there who wish to do you harm. Thank the military for protecting your freedom.
