Toshiba announces Qosmio X870 gaming laptop for Q2

Along with its business and media computers, Toshiba has added a new Qosmio gaming laptop to its 2012 line. The 17.3-inch Qosmio X870 is slated to arrive sometime in the second quarter of 2012. It will include a multitouch clickpad and high-definition 3D screen that’s supposed to have a 5ms response time, although it doesn’t seem to be using the glasses-free 3D of the Qosmio F755. You’ll also be getting a 2TB hard drive or a hybrid HDD / SSD.
Other hardware details are a bit vague so far, probably because it’s coming out around the purported launch of Ivy Bridge: the X870 will include the “latest Intel processors” and “next generation Nvidia GPUs.” An early hands-on by PC Pro praised the X870′s performance and sound, and even with red…
