The Kindle Fire is NOT an Android device. My mom got one for Christmas and when I was setting it up for her all I could think about was how locked down it was. Sure it runs a version of Android, but it’s heavily modified by Amazon. Using that device as an example of why Android devices aren’t the greatest is like me using my HP Touchpad with Android on it as a reason why Android sucks.
