How will warfare change when robots dominate the military force?

Question by N!ck: How will warfare change when robots dominate the military force?
I think its inevitable that one day robot soldiers will be developed to do all the fighting. The military has already developed this sort of technology but it is still primitive and not widely used, yet. However within a hundred years I’m sure that autonomous robots will be developed to do most of the fighting. Why would you potentially destroy a valuable human life when you can mass produce disposable robots?

How would this change warfare and the way we settle conflicts with nations. Would we do as we do now, and make the robots fight each other in place of humans until we don’t have the money to manufacture any more, or would war techniques completely change?

Im thinking of how war changed between the Civil war and world war one. In the Civil War, technology was primitive and men fought in ranks, firing at each other until one of them retreated. In world war one the technology was so deadly that this was too dangerous and men fought in trenches and guerrilla warfare became dominant

I agree with the robot concept, but more precisely with a drone idea. If you really need to wage war, drones are much more practical than anything else, and they are still ultimately human controled.

Most armed conflict is doomed in my opinion. It makes very little sense, and is a relic from a time where conquered land was a mark of power.

If you want to destabilize an ennemy today, the most efficient way is probably a cyber attack. And this will only increase in the coming years.

The iMac doesn’t come with Windows; you have to buy a fully licensed retail copy and install Boot Camp, and then you can install Windows and run PC games if you choose.
