Android 2.2 upgrade for Droid X may already be trickling out, other Droids shortly?

We’ve already gathered that Verizon, Moto, and HTC all seem to be pretty well committed to bumping most of their Droid models to Froyo (as well they should), but things are starting to get real — really real. First off, we’ve been fed a shot of a tipster’s Droid X that has apparently already been blessed with 2.2 over the air; the baseband version is a tick older than the one in a shot leaked over on My Droid Life, but it’s anyone’s guess how Motorola is staging this and what the final gold binary really contains. We’ve also seen a 2.2 ROM for the Droid Incredible leak recently (and the Droid before that), so uncorroborated rumors we’re seeing that three of the four retail Droids will be getting 2.2 by the 15th of next month aren’t necessarily crazy. Remember: think positive thoughts.

Nvidia GTX 400 series trickling out a few days early

Looks like the Nvidia GTX 400 series GPUs are starting to trickle onto various sites several days before the official release. Well, at least one big site. Take that paycheck and pump it right into Direct X 11 goodness~!
The only card available right now is the GTX 470, the little brother to the GTX 480. (Or, in ATI terms, it’s the Radeon 5850 to the Radeon 5870.) It’s not even that expensive at $349. Video cards can easily go for twice as much.
Cards from EVGA and Gigabyte are on Newegg. They’re not available to buy right now, but rather they’re on Auto-Notify duty.
And now we wait for Crysis 2 to really test out these companies’ latest.

HTC Legend already trickling into customers’ waiting hands?
That certainly was a timely review, wasn’t it? Dutch site Tweakers.net is reporting through a number of its forum members that previously ordered HTC Legends are being scheduled for delivery as early as today, beating the phone’s announced early second quarter availability by a solid three weeks. That’s great news for anyone comfortable sticking with a lower-res display and a middle-of-the-road processor in exchange for one of the slickest, most metallic shells on the market today — but for those hoping for something a little more… ahem, Desire-able, the wait continues. And yes, we’d like to apologize profusely for that pun.
