Time-Lapse Of That Giant LEGO Hogwarts Assembly

Remember the 400,000 piece LEGO Hogwarts build by Alice Finch? Well this is a time lapse of its assembly. Not the entire build mind you, just putting together the predominately per-assembled pieces for display at the Emerald City Comicon. A time-lapse of the actual build, good lord — now that would be Oscar worthy. Worthy of ALL OF THEM. I’d still give it best costume design and original score even if Alice wore PJ’s the whole time and the music was just babies crying.

Watch this: double time-lapse combines night and day in New York

Time-lapse video clips of New York City are ten-a-penny, with the ‘city that never sleeps’ supplying a perfect subject for both daytime and nighttime views. However videographer Philip Stockton has actually taken things a step further in his video clip New York: Evening and Day, utilizing post-processing techniques to incorporate 2 separate views into one. The outcome is an unique environment resembling the result of a lighting mistake in an old computer game– some items are vibrantly lit while others are steeped in shadow; vehicles with their fronts lights blazing pass underneath structures bathed in afternoon sunlight.
According to an explanatory blog post, Stockton filmed at each location for in between 4 and eight hours, then spliced video from the opposite ends of each …

Eye Candy: The Definitive Time-Lapse Of Earth From The International Space Station (Until There’s A Better One)

The folks over at Gizmodo are hailing this video from the International Area Station as, “the most impressive evening view of planet ever before caught by NASA”, and obviously they get off on these things the way usual people like you and I would a “chicks in latex” fetish film. So they must know. But enough chatting intimate enjoyments throughout business hours, this is an evening view of planet shot from the ISS. It actually is some serious eye candy. Like, more so than the buddy of mine who can stick a candy corn up his nose and squeeze it out his tear duct. He’s so gross. It’s an excellent video to view if you’ve been going with a rough spell and require something to put it all in perspective. In this case that perspective being, “Man, we’re all so irrelevant– none of the things I’ve been stressing about even f \*\*\* ing matter. GET DRUNK, PARTY HARD!”

Visual Spice creates a 7-foot tall papercraft Gundam, films the entire process as a timelapse (video)
Taking it a few steps further, he created a bevy of “fantasy shots” (like the one above) with his brother, Ivan — and of course, Photoshop — and even filmed both endeavors as timelapse videos. According to Taros, the aim was to make something “bigger and better” than the four-foot papercraft Gundam, which he made nearly three years ago and burned to ashes on video prior to this project — we’d say mission accomplished. You’ll find the construction timelapse video after the break, along with more related vids and photos at the source link below.

Freaky Deaky ‘Tape Unraveling’ Time-Lapse

Ever wanted to watch a time-lapse animation of tape hanging from a glass plate unravel all creepy freaky-deaky like? Of course you have — you’re sick in the head. Per (non-sandwich) artist Johan Rijpma:
…I worked on this project for about 6 months. I tried many different compositions and then made a selection. A single composition could take more than 12 hours to develop/breakdown.
(the spinning of the plate was done by hand, turnin the plate about 0,4 degree’s every 30 seconds, this meant i was standing in the wind and the rain for hours watching the tape “grow” and watching the sun come up/go down)
Impressive, but you know what I’ve always wanted to watch? Grass grow. Like, really take the time and acid and just watch it. Kidding, but one time I did lay down a blanket at the park and try to spot dinosaurs in the clouds. It sucked, this sweet-ass velociraptor was just starting to form when a giant pig head came out of nowhere and swallowed it up. RUINED MY ENTIRE PICNIC. That and the ants. Did I mention there were ants? Apparently I laid down on top of an ant hill. And let me tell you — those lil dicks were all about some of my homemade potato salad. Plus biting my legs. I’ve hated all outdoors ever since. I don’t even open my apartment windows anymore, it’s that bad. One time a friend asked me to go for a walk to talk because his girlfriend had broken up with him and I told him to get over it and she was way out of his league anyways just so I wouldn’t have to go.

Very Cool 1/1 Scale Gundam Time-Lapse Video

The 1/1 scale Gundam statue that Bandai erected in Tokyo in 2009 (and re-erected one year later in Shizuoka) caused a huge splash: it “inspired” a Chinese theme park, it made Kobe get a Gigantor statue, and it prompted Gundam geeks to come up with fan-made things. And one of these geeks is “darwinfish105″ [JP], a videographer from Japan who created an awesome clip of the Gundam statue in Shizuoka in time-lapse.
The video runs 7:42 and shows how cool the statue really is:
