There will be cake: join us at 8PM ET to celebrate Vergecraft’s first year with an in-game dance party!

In the beginning of Vergecraft, The Verge’s own Minecraft server, we lived the simple life. Newbies constructed ranches and fences to safeguard from the fresh, untamed wilderness. Iron was more priceless than gold. And Paul Miller was still on the net.
Times have changed, and we’re all matured now: from stretching cities, to concealed holy places, to an oceanic Mega-Pyramid inspired by a crazy Japanese architectural idea, the players of Vergecraft have actually collectively put in hundreds of hours of play time to develop a digital civilization. Now, it’s time to celebration. At 8PM ET today we’re going to have a birthday celebration in Vergecraft’s super exclusive nightclub, Club Void. As we did on the first day, we’ll be blasting tunes from an alternate universe in T.

There You Are!: Impressive Octopus Camouflage Video

This is a video of marine biologist Roger Hanlon chasing an octopus when it gets all super sneaky and camouflages itself in some plant growth. Then Roger gets too close and it flicks on its BACK OFF ME warning colors before inking him and swimming away. Then there’s a bunch more video trying to explain octopi camouflage and a couple other scenes of the animals hiding. Did you know octopi are colorblind? That was news to me. So was the fact we’re being evicted. Let me crash at your place for awhile? I won’t even use your bathroom, I’ll go outside.

Is there anyway to get 3g or some other internet on the motorola xoom?
Question by Vicky: Exists anyhow to get 3g or some other internet on the motorola xoom?
I simply purchased a Motorola xoom tablet. I like it however I noticed it only has Wi-Fi options. Its OK when I’m someplace that has wi fi available but what am I suppose to do if there is no wifi offered.
Finest answer:
Answer by LordNeverdieIf you have a WiFi
model, WiFi is a means of linking to the Internet. To make it possible for WiFi go to the ‘Settings’ app then at the top of the page, there will be an option that says “Wireless and Networks” after you click that, on the right hand side, there will be an option called “WiFi networks. When you click that the Xoom will immediately scan for access points in the area. Select a network of your selection, if it is password safeguarded, get in the appropriate key to access the network. This will additionally deal with hot spots, as there is WiFi in coffee shops and etc.

Bad Dog Tools Demos Drill Bits That Cut Through Basically Everything There Is [Video]

The CES program floor was stuffed with heaps of companies that you ’ ve most likely heard plenty about today, such as Panasonic, Sony, LG, etc. But the hidden treasures and oddballs amongst the customer electronic giants were the real treat for world-weary attendees who felt it was tough not to stifle a yawn at yet another 4K TV. Bad Dog Tools, a business showing its super-hard drill bits, is among those gems.
While I had difficulty understanding precisely why there was a tool-making company on the flooring of the Customer Electronics Show, I needed to admit that what they had to flaunt was outstanding. We got to see their drill bits go through all kinds of anxiety and strain, and come out working perfectly fine on the other side. I ’ m not precisely a convenient man, however I ’ ve made use of a drill enough to realize that bits that could sustain the kind of penalty these were facing are something unique.
I liked when they got so hot they offered off smoke. Not enough things at CES offered off smoke.

Fast Food Without Fasting
“The next time you’re away from home or work and very hungry, here are some ideas to get you through the high-fat, carbohydrate, and high calorie fast-food race.If you find there’s nothing to eat but fast food, choose the salad bar or eat salad instead of fried burgers. If you don’t feel like eating salad, have a grilled chicken or veggie wrap.
Instead of soda, save 200+ calories by drinking unsweetened iced tea or seltzer/club soda. Vegetable pizza is a better choice than sausage or pepperoni. Soup is often a good idea, but be careful of cream or milk-based ones. Choose vegetable or broth instead. If there’s nothing but a diner or coffee shop, have a plain, baked potato instead of fries, and ask for your meat to be baked or grilled, instead of fried. ” read full here :http://fithealth4u.blogspot.com/

I’ll Be There Yesterday: Conceptual DeLorean Taxi

This is a conceptual time traveling DeLorean taxi. It’s not real though (context clue: conceptual), it’s just a marketing piece made by Mike Lubrano for Nooka, a “New York based fashion brand with a futuristic philosophy.” What exactly IS their futuristic philosophy? Sadly, probably not “RUN AND HIDE, THE ROBOTS ARE COMING!” like it should be. I did peruse their website though and they do sell a bunch of stuff that looks like a 1980′s vision of the future. Me? I’m more into a 2012 vision of the future. “Which is?” I’m glad you asked! *holding up picture* “That’s a picture of a burning planet with the caption ‘Earth, population: 0.’” Just keepin’ it real!
