Chip Tablet PC concept is sexy

The Chip concept computer looks pretty hot. Sort of a desktop computer, notebook, and a tablet computer all together. This concept design has a removable display that can be converted into a tablet, while the hinged keyboard can be accessed when the display is docked.
It goes by the name“the Chipâ€. It’s a great design. Functional and futuristic. Women wouldn’t complain about ugly PCs at all if they all looked like this one.
We wouldn’t mind at all if this became a real product.

With a Tegra 2Tegra 2-esque ARM A9-based processor, 9.7″ wide screen, and a full gig of RAM, these tablets from Foxconn (unnamed and undated) look to be pretty serious pieces of hardware. They run Android, which I’ve always thought is unsuited for tablets that size, but hey, until something nicer comes out, it’s free and it works. More info over at Giz.

Sure, the PSP is still a mighty attractive piece of hardware. “Handsome,” you might say, but that heart-pounding allure is all but gone these days. While we wait a few more years for Sony to rectify that with a PSP 2, we can drool over another mod by “f00 f00.” This time he’s managed to squeeze a working VU Meter onto the back of the ever-moddable machine. Sure, it’s not a revolution in the world of PSP hacking, but it’s impressive and somehow comforting in its own we-guess-the-PSP-is-still-pretty-cool sort of way. Video is after the break.
