Major Windows USB vulnerability patched by Microsoft

Microsoft’s newest Patch Tuesday round of safety updates includes a solution for a vulnerability that can enable assailants to jeopardize Computers using a USB trick. The attack needs physical access to a PC, however allows harmful individuals to simply insert a USB trick and make the system carry out harmful code at the Windows kernel level. Microsoft is rating the susceptability as important, not the greatest score of vital, recommending that the business does not view it as a severe risk in spite of its apparent effects.

Flash vulnerabilities in Internet Explorer 10 to be patched ‘shortly’

Microsoft has reversed its decision to wait to patch critical vulnerabilities in Flash for Internet Explorer 10, and will release an update sooner than previously announced, according to ZDNet. The company’s decision to integrate Flash directly into Internet Explorer 10 means that even though Adobe patched several vulnerabilities in the service last month, testers using the program remain at risk until Microsoft patches the software. Last week Microsoft said that an update would not be released until the public launch of Windows 8, but today Microsoft’s director of trustworthy computing Yunsun Wee told ZDNet that the update will come “shortly,” and another source said it may even be released “before the end of next week.”

Hey guys, Rezzzo here again showing you how to unlock everything in the Black Ops multiplayer, that includes all weapons, perks, camo’s, everything. What’s great about it is it is all for FREE and you can do it at ANY level. Here are the steps: 1) Have a friend to invite you to a theatre lobby! 2) Tell him to switch between player match and theatre mode repeatedly 3) Do this until you get a black loading screen 4) It should show you that youre searching a player match, stay in there until the errors come up. 5) Press B twice when you see both errors, you should be in the Multiplayer menu now! 6) Go to Local and then Systemlink 7) Edit a class and hover over a random gold camo. 8) Tell your friend to back out and you should get the error saying that the game session is no longer available, you should be in player match now! 9) Switch the lobby to private match and create your classes 10) Start up. 11) End the game and then go to a public match to make sure your classes stay 12) Enjoy your stuff If you liked this tutorial, please subscribe, and don’t forget to check out our site, www.mapMonkeys.com for all the latest glitches!

iOS hacker Musclenerd is confirming that both the bootrom exploits (Geohot’s Limera1n and posixninja’s SHAtter) were patched by Apple in March 2010 itself. Apple engineers fixed both holes long before either exploit was developed. Musclenerd found iPad2 running a bootrom version iBoot-838.3 as compared to iBoot-574.4 in iPad 1G.
iPad2 bootrom version iBoot-838.3 means it was compiled March’10. Seems geohot guessed right: limera1n was already closed
Early testing also seems to show at least one thing SHAtter depends on was gone by March 2010 too
This means any early iPad2 jailbreaks will have to be purely userland
@fr0st SHAtter can’t work at all with the “thing” I referred to gone
@hooners96 right. I guess this is a bit of a win for Apple engineers…they fixed both holes long before either exploit was developed.
Difference: Bootrom and Userland Jailbreak
Bootrom exploits are used to jailbreak the iOS device for life. It can’t be fixed by Apple without a new hardware release of iOS device (like iPad 2). Unlike userland jailbreak, just firmware’s update will not going to patch the bootrom exploit.
iBoot-574.4 bootrom is on A4 chip (S5L8930) used in the iPad 1G, iPhone 4, Apple TV 2G and iPod touch 4G while the iPad 2 is carrying iBoot-838.3 on A5 (S5L8940). As the bootrom has been revised, iPad 2 can only be jailbroken using new userland jailbreak.
In addition to this, Comex’s is confirming that his best kernel bug has also been closed in iOS 4.3 firmware update. The hacking community now has to discover a new userland exploit to jailbreak iPad 2.
