The Declaration Of Independence At The NY Public Library

Thomas Jefferson’s handwritten annotated version ofThe Declaration of Independence will be on display at the New York Public Library through July 31st.
The display will be open for a special viewing over the Independence Day weekend, Sunday, July 4 through Monday, July 5. The exhibition also includes early printings of the Declaration as well as a letter from Benjamin Franklin to George Washington mentioning that the Declaration was being drafted. The Library is located at Fifth Avenue and 42nd Street New York City.
Regular exhibition hours are Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Tuesday and Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. On July 4th and 5th the exhibit will be open from 1:00 P.M. to5:00 P.M.
Admission is free so if your in the city this month it’s worth it to stop by and important part of American history.

First a little explanation of the image below.
This image is a graphical representation of the population of Manhattan during the day on the left and in the evening on the right. Notice the dramatic shifts indicating people work there but not many remain in the area after working hours. Further down are some stats from Frumination. Very interesting numbers done to research what it would take to replace the NYC Subway with vehicles.
The report also goes into how the NYC Subway is transporting 1,050 people into the CBD every 6 seconds!
