Weapon Test 83: Intern Abuser 10/11/12: “Pillow Fight”

THE INTERN ABUSER IS A TWO DAY LIVE EVENT, HAPPENING OCT. 11TH AND 12TH The INTERN ABUSER is a remote robotic apparatus that allows visitors from across the globe to physically and mentally abuse our intern from the comfort of their own office or home using the sadistic power of their personal internet browser. SIGN UP for the LIVE EVENT on OCTOBER 11th and 12th and look forward to your turn to agitate our hapless apprentice through plethora of amusing irritants. When your turn comes-up, you will have 30 seconds to take aim at a series of targets using a foam dart gun. You get three shots at hitting a target that will trigger a specific abusive device. If you don’t have the heart to participate, you can simply tune-in to watch the action and have a giggle at the intern’s expense. If suckling on our intern’s pain pokes your guilt reflex, we’ve provided the intern with a PayPal account for you to donate to their college fund. www.internabuser.com

JailbreakMe creator Comex joins Apple as an intern

Allow us to extend our congratulations to Nicholas Allegra. He’s more popularly known as Comex, the party responsible for crafting the infamous JailbreakMe and Spirit tools that’s given Apple so many headaches recently. Starting the week after next, he’ll be officially wandering around 1 Infinite Loop as a bona fide intern. We’re not terribly surprised, since the skill level needed to give iOS engineers a run for their money can be a highly valuable asset to the company; hiring someone with the know-how to spot vulnerabilities in Apple’s OS would only serve to make the platform more secure. It wasn’t mentioned how Allegra’s talents will be utilized by Apple, but — given the programmer’s extensive history — we can make a few educated guesses.

GeekDad Puzzle of The Week: Revolting Interns

Images Courtesy of ThinkGeek

I came in to GeekDad puzzle central this morning to find out that all of my interns quit. Their cells … I mean cubicles were empty and they left a note taped to a brick thrown through my monitor. The note read:

Dear Tyrant,

Guess what ! WE QUIT !
Just to make you as miserable as you’ve made us we decided to hide some of your office supplies. Good luck finding them sucker.

With no respect what so ever
Beth, Freddie Alvin and Elisa

Well, it took most of the morning to find everything and I figured why not use that time constructively to develop this weeks puzzle. Here are the clues:

  1. The interns sat one behind the other in cubicles numbered 1 through 4
  2. The intern in cubicle 4 hid my Walking Robot Pencil Sharpener
  3. Beth, who didn’t use the air duct as a hiding place, did not sit behind Alvin
  4. Freddie sat directly in front of the intern who hid something in the microwave
  5. One intern hid my Dead Fred Pencil Holder in the Air Duct
  6. The intern who hid my Ninja Star Coat Hook sat in cubicle 1.
  7. Elisa Sat in cubicle 4
  8. The intern in cubicle 2 used the air duct as a hiding place
  9. Alvin hid my Red Swing line Stapler
  10. The intern who hid something in the Ladies Room did not sit behind the intern who used the Hazardous Waste Storage Vault.

Using the clues can you figure out which item each intern hid, where they hid it and which cubicle they sat in. Send your answer to GeekDad Puzzle Central and you could win a $50.00 Gift Certificate to ThinkGeek where you can get cool office supplies just like mine.
