Fast payday loans For Every One

Yahoo has just taken the wraps off a major update to Flickr, it’s long-suffering photo service, and we just sat down to put the revamped service through its paces to see how it has improved — and whether or not it’ll be enough to keep up with the likes of Facebook and Google+. While it’s a massive visual improvement, it’s still works much like the Flickr of old, for better or for worse. But for a visual site like Flickr, those changes make for a huge upgrade over what users experienced before.

For starters, Flickr made it a priority to remove the massive amounts of whitespace, text, and links that covered up its page, and it makes all the difference. You’re now presented with a stream of photos from your contacts with minimal…

Brinno TLC200 Pro captures time lapse HDR images, sports interchangeable lenses

Brinno TLC200 Pro captures time lapse HDR images, sports interchangeable lenses

A dedicated time lapse camera is about as niche as a piece photo gear gets. But, we’ll say this about Brinno’s latest offering, it captures some pretty stunning clips. The TLC200 Pro is supposedly the world’s first such device that captures these dramatic clips in HDR. The 1.3 megapixel sensor weighs in at a healthy 1/3-inch, which means the pixels are much larger than your average sensor — in fact, they’re more than twice the size of those found in the HTC One UltraPixel shooter. The built-in lens sports an aperture of f/2.0 and a 112-degree wide angle field of view. But you can also slap on one of the available interchangeable lenses to alter that to your liking. About the only thing we could find to complain about (besides its limited functionality) is the fact that it captures video at only 720p. Unfortunately there’s no word on price yet, though we’re sure it’ll be a bit more than the non-Pro version of the TLC200, which will set you back $ 300. If you’re curious, there’s a whole host of sample footage after the break.

FocusTwist app for iOS gives you Lytro-esque refocusable images

Focus Twist for iPhone gives you Lytosesque selective focus

Arqball has just released the FocusTwist app for iOS that lets you selectively focus after taking an image — without investing $ 400 in a Lytro light field camera. It works by automatically taking several shots with different focus points from your iPhone’s camera, delivering the best results if you hold very still and have subjects in the near foreground and far background. You can then change focus by clicking different parts of the resulting image, which is hosted on the company’s server and can be shared via a link. After playing with the app ourselves for a bit (see More Coverage link), we’ve got to admit we’re stupidly hooked — you can grab it at the source for $ 1.99.

Here’s The Next iPad, According To A Mess Of Leaked Images

585947268_407

Yet again, third-party accessory makers have actually revealed an approaching iPad design. Alibaba.com is awash in cases for a revamped iPad. Nearly every case is for a gadget that has a thinner bezel and slimmer profile. In brief, the following iPad will look like the iPad mini — other than, you know, simply not mini.

This is the basic story line for Apple gadgets. Months before a significant product is released, accessory makers begin pumping and dumping cases. Many of the time these cases are rebadged and sold under a trademark name. This process takes some time, which is why the cases are offered prior to the device establishing.

This has occurred for virtually every iDevice launch considering that the iPhone 4. Every iPad — complete size or mini — was exposed prior to Apple’s statement with case makers. And a good portion of case makers show their wares on Alibaba.com.

Apple is component of this cycle, too. A large accessory ecosystem belongs to the iOS magic. A purchaser knows that they can purchase the most recent iPhone or iPad and customize it to their fitting without any hassle. Even penny shops sell iPhone cases. It’s oft been circulated that Apple launches the measurements of upcoming gadgets to accessory makers months before the statement so the device launches to a full assortment of items.

These factories have likely not seen the following iPad yet. Many of the images are physical mockups or renderings. But they know the device’s measurements.

So once again, act shocked when Apple reveals the next iPad in the coming months. Pretend like you hadn’t seen it previously.

Nokia’s Verizon-Bound Lumia 928 Spotted In Leaked Images Ahead Of Launch

nokia-lumia-928

It’s been a long time coming, but Verizon Wireless customers should soon have another high-end Windows Phone 8 device to lust after. After the handset was spotted both in both the FCC’s and Verizon’s systems, noted leaker @evleaks has come through yet again with a new image of the upcoming Nokia Lumia 928 (formerly known as the “Catwalk”).

There’s not a whole lot to be gleaned from the image save for the fact that the device seems to have done away with the rounded sides and flat top and bottom edges of its immediate predecessor the Lumia 920. As it turns out, one of the neatest features of the initial Catwalk leak is nowhere to be found here — according to The Verge, the Lumia 928 will sport a more traditional polycarbonate body instead of the aluminum chassis that was originally slated for the device way back wehn. Most of the 928′s internals (think the 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8960 processor, 1GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage) are expected to remain the same as its cousin the 920, but Nokia may run with an OLED panel this time around rather than the IPS LCD as seen in the 920.

In short, it’s hard not to think of the Lumia 928 as what the Lumia 920 should’ve been when it launched.

According to recent figures from Kantar Worldpanel, Windows Phone has managed to pull away from BlackBerry in terms of mobile OS market share, and devices like the 928 should help Microsoft’s mobile efforts pick up a little more steam in the coming weeks. Meanwhile, Nokia has been working to make its Windows Phones the most feature-rich out there with exclusivity agreements with companies like Zinio, so it’s clear that some developers are starting to see the benefits of embracing the prospect of developing for the Windows Phone platform.

That said, WP’s third place position isn’t completely safe at this point — BlackBerry posted some promising quarterly financials and if recent leaks are to be believed, a low-cost BlackBerry 10 device with a QWERTY keyboard could see the light very soon. Z10 shipments point to reasonably healthy demand, and an affordable device launched in key markets could be just what the doctor ordered for BlackBerry.

Nokia Lumia 928 for Verizon allegedly pictured in leaked images

Bhimeulcuaeqq75

Images are surfacing of what purports to be Nokia’s upcoming flagship Windows Phone device for Verizon, the Lumia 928. Twitter user EVLeaks posted renders of the front and back of the 920 variant, and outwardly it looks nearly the same as AT&T’s. The elongated flash and 4G LTE branding are the only visual cues that we’re not looking at a black 920. We’ve heard from sources that the phone will have a new xenon flash, in addition to the 920′s LED unit, and the picture would seem to back that up.

As far as specs go, we haven’t heard anything new since March, but we’re expecting the phone to have the same CPU and RAM as the 920, although it should be a little thinner, at 10.2 millimeters compared to the 920′s 10.7, and should feel…

Google+ adds animated GIF support to profile images

Google_gif_large

Google+ released a number of small but noticeable visual updates to its mobile apps today, but that’s not all. The site now supports animated GIFs for user profile photos in addition to within posts, as Google announced in an update this afternoon. The animated GIFs work on both Google+’s desktop and mobile views, though profile GIFs only show up as still images when they appear next to a user’s post. The move comes on the heels of Google introducing a separate search filter specifically for the popular, meme-friendly image format. Google’s move to embrace the GIF makes Facebook’s lack of support for the format all the more conspicuous. It also stands in stark contrast to Twitter, which began blocking animated GIFs from user profile…
