By searching ‘Atari Breakout’ in Google images you can play the game and stick it to the man for a couple minutes while at work. Or on your lunch break if you care about keeping your job. I took the time to beat the whole first stage to see if the level changes, but it does not. It’s just level one over and over and over again until you die. It’s like a metaphor for life. Oh boy, oh boy, here comes a new level! NOPE.

Thanks to Jon, who agrees we should class-action lawsuit Google for the loss of profits due to a sudden drop in worker productivity.

Adobe Photoshop, the gold standard in image editing for print and the web, retails for $ 699. If you’ve ever needed to edit images on OS X only to balk at Adobe’s industry-leading price tag, chances are good that you’ve bumped into Flying Meat’s Acorn, “the image editor for humans” according to creator Gus Mueller. As more developers are receiving their pair of Google Glass, the tinkering with the device is heating up. One developer found a very interesting easter egg within Glass itself, which introduces you to the entire Glass team.

The steps to reproduce it are fairly simple:

Settings -> Device info -> View licenses -> Tap the touchpad 9 times -> Tap Meet Team

Here’s a video demo, including the neat sounds that happen as you keep tapping:

The neat part about the photo is that you can see the entire 360-degree panoramic image by moving your head around. This was hard to show in the MyGlass screencast, since it lags a little bit. We’ve learned that Mike LeBeau, Senior Software Engineer for Google X, is the one who dropped the hidden gem into Glass’ software. He’s appeared on TechCrunch before in a <a target="_blank" href="“>hilarious Google blooper reel.

The team photo has Google co-founder, Sergey Brin, front and center.

I’m sure that more of these easter eggs will pop up over time, but this one is particularly cool since it’s the first time that I’ve seen a panoramic image on the device since I started using it. This functionality could be something that isn’t exposed in the Mirror API as of yet, but once it is, it’ll be a fun one.

The parents of 22-year-old Alexander Heit released this photo to the press in the hope that it would prevent future tragedies.

This makes for a much more powerful PSA than the usual violent, bloody images created by big fancy ad agencies (examples below).

The police report says Heit, a Northern Colorado student, drifted into oncoming traffic, jerked the steering wheel and went off the road, rolling his car. Witnesses told police that Heit appeared to have his head down when he began drifting into the oncoming lane in the outskirts of Greeley, where the University of Northern Colorado is located. An oncoming driver slowed and moved over just before Heit looked up and jerked the steering wheel. Police said Heit had a spotless driving record and wasn’t speeding.

Heit died shortly after the crash, but his parents released the photo of his last text hoping it will stop future accidents.

“In a split second you could ruin your future, injure or kill others, and tear a hole in the heart of everyone who loves you,” Sharon Heit, Alexander's mother, said.
