Fast payday loans For Every One

The Titan — the world’s fastest supercomputer — has 18,688 Nvidia GK110 GPUs inside. Each and every one is more powerful than the graphics accelerator in most any gaming PC you’ll find. That changes next week: Nvidia’s announcing the $ 999 GeForce GTX Titan, a graphics card that harnesses the very same power to drive PC games. Wrapped in the same attractive aluminum chassis as the GeForce GTX 690, with the same specially designed cooling system and a polycarbonate window to show it off, the graphics card’s a sight to behold, and the company claims it’ll play some seriously strenuous games as well. Nvidia says it’ll be out next week.

Before we tell you what the GeForce GTX Titan is, we should probably tell you what it is not. The…

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 and 660 review roundup: hitting the sweet spot, sometimes

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 review roundup

If you’re developing or updating a finances gaming rig, it’ll be challenging to overlook the GeForce GTX 650 and 660. Whether NVIDIA’s brand-new chipsets are worth the look is another matter, and very early assessments suggest that a sale depends on just which market you’re in. The GTX 660, by far the darling of the testimonial crowd, contends well against the Radeon HD 7850 by outrunning AMD’s hardware in many situations while undercutting on the official cost. A few have actually taken an appearance at the lower-end GTX 650, but it’s not as much of a clear-cut buying decision– the entry-level video typically slots in between the performance of the Radeon HD 7750 and 7770 without the rate edge of its bigger brother. Either card is much far better value for the cash than the GT 640, nevertheless, and looks to be a purposeful upgrade if you’re trading up from equivalent prior-generation gear.

EVGA’s GeForce GTX 680 Classified tempts overclockers with watery siren call

evga-geforce-gtx-680-classified-water-cool

Judging by a sneak Computex preview, EVGA‘s intentions for the upcoming GTX 680 Classified graphics card are not a thorny mystery. With an optional water-cooling block and voltage control inputs, there’s plenty here to seduce the hardcore modder. The company isn’t talking numbers just yet, but if terms like “14-phase power design” whet your appetite, then you’re in luck. In any case, like its other Classified mates, it’s apt to be the company’s top GeForce GTX 680 performer. So, if you’re plugging in the pumps and hoses for that next mod, you might want to leave a slot — or four — open for this one.

MSI GT70 gaming laptop kindly updated with GeForce GTX 675M graphics

MSI GT70 gaming laptop kindly updated with GeForce GTX 675M graphics

We sure hope you like surprises, because we’ve got a good one for you. It seems as if MSI wasn’t quite pleased with the killer graphics on its feature-loaded GT70 laptop and decided to give it a quick boost. Earlier today, the outfit announced its fresh gaming machine will now ship with NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 675M GPU instead of that already powerful GTX 670M found in our review unit. MSI says the change was driven by the company’s beliefs that “exceptional performance starts with outstanding components,” and, needless to say, we’re certain you’d agree. In case you’ve yet to grab one of these for yourself, you can do so at the source below.

NVIDIA outs budget GeForce GT 610, GT 620 and GT 630, no Kepler in any of ‘em

NVIDIA outs budget GeForce GT 610, GT 620 and GT 630, no Kepler in any of 'em

Look out, savvy graphics card buyer: just because it’s labelled ‘GeForce’ and starts with a ’6′ doesn’t necessarily mean it benefits from NVIDIA’s premium 28nm Kepler architecture. We’ve already seen rebadged mobile chips with last-gen 40nm silicon, and now entry-level desktop cards are arriving on shelves that will stretch Fermi’s expiry date even further. There are no price tags as yet, but according to AnandTech the ‘new’ GeForce GT 610 is a repackaged GT 520 with 48 CUDA cores and an ever-so-polite 29-watt power draw. The GT 620 is a GT 530 with a 49-watt TDP and twice as many CUDA cores as the 610 — although a meager 64-bit memory bus will put a cap on any performance gains. Finally, the GT 630 is a 65-watt GT 440 in all but name, with a 128-bit memory bus width allowing its 96 CUDA cores to be fully exploited. This latter card shouldn’t be confused with the OEM version of the GT 630, which does actually pack Kepler. Bewildering, right? We’ve quizzed NVIDIA over its strange rebadging tradition and were told that the company simply numbers its products according to raw performance, rather than freshness or chip type — which sort of makes sense so long as you don’t dwell on it.

NVIDIA unleashes GeForce GTX 690 graphics card, loads it with dual Kepler GPUs, charges $1k

ImageWould you look at that? NVIDIA hinted it would be coming today, and it looks like the tease is living up to the hype. The company stormed into the weekend at its Shanghai Game Festival by unleashing its latest offering, the GeForce GTX 690 — and oh yeah, it’s packing two 28nm Kepler GPUs! Trumping the recently released GTX 680 as the “worlds fastest graphics card,” it’s loaded with a whopping 3,072 Cuda cores. The outer frame is made from trivalent chromium-plated aluminum, while you’ll find thixomolded magnesium alloy around the fan for vibration reduction and added cooling. Aiding in cooling even further, the unit also sports a dual vapor chamber and center-mounted fan. It’ll cost you a spendy $ 1,000 to pick up one these puppies come May 3rd, and you’ll likely be tempted to double up — two can run together in SLI as an effective quad-core card. With that said, NVIDIA claims that a single 690 runs 4dB quieter and handles about twice the framerate as a duo of GTX 680s in SLI — impressive, but we’ll reserve judgement until we see it for ourselves. check out the press release after the break if you’d like more information in the meantime (…and yes, it runs Crysis2 Ultra to be exact — at 57.8fps, according to NVIDIA).

Nvidia GeForce GTX 690 announced for May 3rd: two Kepler GPUs for $999

nvidia geforce gtx 690

NVIDIA CEO Jen-Hsun Huang just introduced the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 690 in a keynote over in Shanghai, China. Designed “from the ground up to deliver the highest performance in history,” this card is built in a pretty wild fashion: it’s constructed using plated aluminum on the outside, with polycarbonate windows embedded in the front. It has a 10-phase power supply, integrated SLI technology connecting two GTX 680 GPUs onboard, and dual water-vapor champers sitting directly on top of them.

Jen-Hsun gave away the very first GTX 690 that came off the production lines to the most enthusiastic fan in the crowd. That got him a predictably enormous cheer.

In total, the GTX 690 has 3,072 CUDA cores, running at a 915MHz base clock and 1,019MHz…

Gigabyte M2432 laptop with GeForce GT 440 graphics card dock hands-on

Gigabyte’s no stranger in the field of dockable computing devices, and its M2432 laptop shown off at Computex is yet another example proving just this. Let’s focus on the actual machine first: here we have a Core i5-2410M (2.3GHz to 2.9GHz) rig packing a 14-inch 1,366 x 768 LCD, Intel HD Graphics 3000, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, 500GB 7200rpm hard drive, and a DVD burner that can be swapped with a secondary battery. You’ll also find 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, HDMI-out, VGA-out, 1.3 megapixel webcam, an eSATA/USB 2.0 combo port, and two USB 3.0 ports on this Windows 7 Home Premium laptop. All of this weigh 1.8kg (3.97lbs).

There’s a bit of a surprise inside the expansion dock: by laying the M2432 on top of it, not only are you adding six extra USB 2.0 ports plus DVI-out and another HDMI-out, but you’re also kicking up its graphics power with the built-in desktop-class NVIDIA GeForce GT 440 with 1GB video RAM. So essentially, the dock doubles as an external graphics card. No word on prices or availability just yet, so stay tuned.

NVIDIA refreshes notebook graphics with GeForce GTX 560M, attracts ASUS, MSI, Toshiba and Alienware

If you’ve enjoyed NVIDIA’s fine tradition of merely bumping along its GPUs time and again and affixing a new badge, you’ll like the GeForce GTX 560M — it’s much like last year’s GTX 460M, but with more bang for the buck than ever. ASUS, MSI, Alienware, Toshiba and Clevo have all committed to new notebooks bearing the graphics processor in light of the potent performance NVIDIA claims it will bring: Namely, those same 192 CUDA cores (now clocked at 1550MHz) and up to 3GB of GDDR5 memory (now clocked at 1250MHz, with a 192-bit bus) should enable the latest games to run at playable framerates on a 1080p screen with maximum detail — save antialiasing. Of course, that assumes you’ve also got a recent quad-core Sandy Bridge processor and gobs upon gobs of RAM, but NVIDIA also says that with the built-in Optimus switchable graphics, those same potent laptops should be able to manage five hours of battery life while idling.

If you’re looking for some inexpensive discrete graphics, however, NVIDIA’s also got a refresh there, as the new GeForce GT 520MX bumps up all the clock speeds of the GT 520M. When can you expect a mobile GPU to knock the GTX 485M off its silicon throne, though? Glad you asked: a chart shows a “Next-gen GTX” coming late this year. Meanwhile, see what NVIDIA says the GTX 560M’s capable of in the gallery below and a video after the break.

NVIDIA sends GeForce GTX 550 Ti into the $150 graphics card wars

It wasn’t that long ago that we were commending ATI on the stellar regularity of its product launches while NVIDIA was floundering, yet now the roles are reversed and we’re seeing NVIDIA flesh out its second generation of Fermi products with the midrange GeForce GTX 550 Ti presented today. Its biggest attraction is a $ 150 price tag, but it makes a major concession in order to reach that pricing plateau — there are only 192 CUDA cores inside it, equal to the previous-gen GTS 450, but less than the celebrated GTX 460. NVIDIA tries to ameliorate that shortage of parallel processing units by running the ones it has at an aggressive 1800MHz allied to a 900MHz graphics clock speed, and it also throws in a gigabyte of RAM running at an effective rate of 4GHz. That too is constrained somewhat, however, by a 192-bit interface, rather than the wider 256-bit affair on its bigger brother GTX 560 Ti. What all these specs boil down is some decent performance, but few recommendations from reviewers — mostly due to the abundance of compelling alternatives at nearby price points.
