AK-47 Turned Into Fully Functional Golden Guitar

Fast payday loans For Every One

This is the AK-47 that guitar maker Jimmy DiResta turned into a fully functional guitar for Wycleaf Jean. It carries a powerful message. One about…Haiti? Okay so maybe I don’t know what the message is, or if there even is one. Not everything has to make some sort of social or political statement you know. I like how there’s a little mini-guitar on the gun’s magazine, that was a nice touch. The gold paint? That was a Midas touch. HAHA, SOMEBODY COME SMASH MY F***ING HANDS WITH A HAMMER SO I CAN’T TYPE ANYMORE.

Hit the jump for a worthwhile time-lapse of Jimmy building the guitar — it really is pretty impressive.

The Future!: One more Day, Yet another Functional Hover Bike

hover-bike-1.jpg

This is a presently unnamed Aerofex twin rotor-powered hoverbike. Personally, I recommend they call it the Boner-bike, however that’s merely me and there’s no method you could zoom around on that thing without one. OR A HELMET. Security first, people. I’m joking– it’s your head, I do not care exactly what you do with it.

[The bike] originates from a design deserted in the 1960s because of stability and rollover problems. Aerofex, a California-based firm, fixed the stability issue by developing a mechanical system– controlled by 2 control bars at knee-level– that enables the vehicle to react to a human pilot’s leaning movements and natural sense of balance.

But Aerofex does not prepare to instantly establish and sell a manned version. Instead, the aerospace firm sees the aerial automobile as a test platform for brand-new unmanned drones– heavy-lift robot workhorses that can utilize the same hover modern technology to work in agricultural fields, or promptly deliver supplies to search-and-rescue teams in rough landscapes.

Aerofex has presently restricted human flight screening to a height of 15 feet and speeds of about 30 miles per hour, however more from caution instead of since of any type of technical limitations. Older versions of the hover automobiles might fly about as fast as helicopters, De Roche stated.

Hey Aerofex– you seeking a pilot eager to go greater than 15-feet and a lot faster than 30 mph? I ‘M YOUR BROBRO. I’ll take that thing up to a mile and open the throttle till I hit an at 200 MPH and it blows a hole through my chest. No regrets. Well, not about that anyways. HEAPS of other regrets.

Guy Creates Life-Size Functional WALL-E Robot

homemade-wall-e.jpg

Mike Senna of California spent an estimated 3,200 – 3,800 hours over two and a half years building this full-scale, functional WALL-E robot from scratch. He talks, rolls around, moves his arms and eyeballs, but can’t compact trash. He will melt your heart though. Probably with a hidden laser blaster. Never trust the cute ones.

What is the probability that a fully functional universe happened from an explosion?

Question by : What is the probability that a fully functional universe happened from an explosion?
What is the statistical probability that the universe and laws of physics just happened?

The more I study the laws of physics, particle physics and astronomy the more I am in awe of how everything in the universe is so precisely tuned.

Isn’t it amazing how gravity and nuclear fusion are precisely tuned to create a star? How electrons, protons, neutrons, quarks, and gluon formed to create matter. The strong force, weak force, gravity and magnetism all work in harmony. The fact that light photons exists. Atoms got together to form an organic material that formed a brain that led to consciousness. I could go on and on.

I find it astonishing that none of these things existed, then an explosion and you got a fully functioning universe.

This isn’t a God or bible question. But a statistical question of the probability that everything happened just so, to create a functioning universe from a big bang/explosion?

Is there a greater probability of some sort of intelligent design?

Functional NES Controller Coffee Table Made From Wood

wood-controller-table-1.jpg

Because it’s Friday afternoon, I’m already three-and-a-half beers cleverer, and the internet is starting to dry up like a an earthworm on the sidewalk the day after it rains, here’s a giant functional NES controller coffee table built by The Bohemian Workbench. It’s made from maple, mahogany and walnut and available for $ 3,500, which is $ 3,500 more than I have in my giant wooden NES controller coffee table fund. Get it? Because the fund doesn’t exist. I do put a dollar in my Anger Jar though every time somebody pisses me off and I have to yell at them. When it gets full I’m count up all the money and buy a knife.

Engineering Student Builds Functional Star Trek Tricorder

functional-tricorder.jpg

Inb4 big deal, I built a quadcorder.

Peter Jensen went and built himself a functional Star Trek tricorder because he could. And if you could, why wouldn’t you? I know, I’m being pretty deep for a guy curled up on the bathroom floor. Haha — a pube!

The Tricorder Mark 1 is, for all practical purposes, nearly identical to the device that we see in Star Trek, with the possible exception of being unable to reliably distinguish a Klingon from a Romulan. It’s a self-contained, portable sensor system that can measure ambient temperature, humidity, air pressure, magnetic fields, surface temperatures, colors, ambient light level, ambient polarization, acceleration, direction, distance (ultrasonically), and of course it has a GPS receiver.

I hope you know I’m being honest when I say I’m ready and willing to put that in my butt and smuggle it into space-prison should Spock ever find himself locked up. “When would that ever be necessary?” No clue, but like the Boy Scouts say, be prepared. “You’re practicing right now, aren’t you?” With a brick.
