Frozen Pizza Run!: TMNT Car Spotted At Sam’s Club

Fast payday loans For Every One

Note: High-res variation HERE since this vehicle deserves it.

This is a shot taken by Redditor kvnmahan at a Nashville Sam’s Club of just what is arguably the coolest vehicle I’ll see all weekend break. Potentially life. Evidently it’s owned by a neighborhood rapper named Lex Top Buck. My rap name? GW Last Dollar. I don’t actually have a ton of street cred now, but all that’s gonna change when I get my brand-new ride. “Impala?” Please. “Escalade?” Get actual. “Lowrider?” Even much better– personal mobility scooter. Gas, homey– none of that cray-cray electric shit.

Thanks to DanQ, who agrees it should have pizza hubcabs.

Apple Thunderbolt Software Update causing sporadic errors, frozen boot screens

Apple Thunderbolt Software Update causing sporadic errors, frozen boot screens

Software updates can be a bit of a mixed bag — just ask anyone who’s ever been on the other side of a botched firmware install. While many users react with itchy trigger fingers to download the goods, the more prudent (read: hardened) prefer to hold off in the event potentially crippling bugs creep on out. So, it comes as no great surprise that Apple’s recently issued Thunderbolt update version 1.2 — intended to add support for a Gigabit Ethernet Adapter — is subjecting a portion of frustrated users to unexpected errors and frozen boot screens. Currently, the only officially sanctioned remedy seems to be a fresh install of OS X Lion. So, if you haven’t already taken the plunge on this minor feature add-on, you’d be well advised to wait it out.

Boeing’s SUGAR Freeze plane concept runs on cryogenically frozen liquid natural gas

Boeing Sugar

Come 2045, we might just be flying around in planes powered by cryogenically frozen liquid natural gas. Boeing has unveiled a new NASA-commissioned concept called the SUGAR Freeze — SUGAR stands for Subsonic Ultra Green Aircraft Research — that runs on liquid natural gas (LNG) and burns significantly less fuel than current planes. It’s based on an earlier concept called the SUGAR High, which was designed to show what an aircraft might look like in 2030. The original High design was a 154-seat plane that had a long span, strut-braced wing to improve aerodynamic efficiency, and the Freeze is largely the same — the difference is that it features new engine technology that runs on LNG, as well as two tanks at the front and rear to hold…

The World’s First Frozen Margarita Machine

so much depends upon. a brown wheel margarita machine. glazed with rain tequila. beside the white tortillas.

Built in 1971, this original frozen margarita machine was built on an ice cream machine and had its roots in the Slurpee. Now its many brethren make my wife happy when we go to Mexican restaurants, especially when they use real fruit in the mix.

Inhabitat’s Week in Green: frozen energy, spray-on solar and the hydrogen peroxide helicopter

Each week our friends at Inhabitat recap the week’s most interesting green developments and clean tech news for us — it’s the Week in Green.

It was a big week for green transportation as San Francisco broke ground on its massive green-roofed Transbay Transit Center and unveiled plans to install 5,000 EV charging stations throughout the Bay Area. We were also wowed by several fun new forms of alternative transportation – a single-person helicopter that emits nothing but water vapor and a human-powered car that can go 30 MPH while driving uphill!

It was also an exciting week for energy storage tech as New York prepared to power up the world’s first grid-scale flywheel energy plant and researchers cracked the code on a new cryogenic energy storage system. We also showcased a plan for a ribbon-like solar field that unfurls over the desert and saw researchers unveil a transparent solar spray that can transform practically any surface into a sun-capturing source of energy.

In other news, solar tech energized the arena of interior lighting as we showcased an adorable solar-powered table lamp and were dazzled by this set of folding OLED origami lights. Finally, a team of scientists blew our minds with this light-bending invisibility cloak made from gold-coated silk.

iPad frozen into slab of chocolate, delivered to unsuspecting wife

So this fellow Stefan wasn’t content with just getting his wife an iPad. No sir, he thought he’d put all the rest of us to shame by ensconcing the Apple tablet inside some fine chocolate from London and then transporting the frozen concoction nearly six thousand miles to Cape Town, South Africa. There’s really not much more science to it than that, the chap wanted to surprise his better half and judging by the pictures on his blog, he succeeded spectacularly. Hit the source link to see for yourself.
