TC Makers: 3D Printing Wizards At Shapeways Show Us Their Brand New Queens Factory

It’s rare to see a company that is so established yet as cutting-edge as Shapeways. The company, founded in 2007 as a spin-off of Royal Philips Electronics, began as a one-off 3D printing service that offered basic plastic items for sale online. Over the years, however, the company has branched off into some amazing materials – steel, ceramic, and even sandstone – and they’ve already been able to support full color printing in 3D.
Now the company is opening a series of facilities in the US and they invited us to their first print shop in Long Island City, New York. In this massive, warehouse-like space, the company has set up a number of acrylic printers as well as a small customer service team. They plan on expanding further, adding more machines to an already impressive array. The goal is to offer 3D print shops close to major US metropolitan areas to reduce wait-times and to spread out the manufacturing process among different factories. The company will have 30 to 50 printers in the LIC location once it is complete.
I spoke with co-founder Peter Weijmarshausen about the Shapeways process, the printers, and what it takes to become a 3D-printing powerhouse in a nascent market. It’s great to see such a cool company expand and it’s even more fun to get to tour the facilities even before the machines, printers, and staff becomes fully operational. Answer by T CThere are 2 things you might mean by restoring to manufacturing facility setups. If it is settings like power setups and network setups, you can simply go to System Preferences and change them there. However, I think you are discussing wiping the entire drive and restoring everything to how it was when you initially turned the computer on (this will delete all of your files and applications). What you do i this:. 1. If you purchased Snow Leopard, find that disk.
If you did not, then go discover your MacBook box. There is a black container inside contains the guides and restore DVDs. 2. Put the DVD # 1 into your CD drive, reboot the computer system and hold alt/option secret as you are doing this. When the computer system switches on once again you ought to see what drives to boot from and select the Mac OSX Installation DVD to boot from. 3. When it boots, pick your language, and visit Utilities
in the menu bar and choose Disk Utility. Find the partition you installed OSX on and remove it in Disk Utility. 4. Quit that application, follow the menus that appear, and set up Mac OSX. When it is done you are back at manufacturing facility settings. What do you think? Response below!

44-year Darren Baldwin got fired from his temporary job at a UK stress ball factory, so what did he do? What anybody in a warehouse full of stress relievers would — punched his boss, then produced two knives and began threatening to stab him in front of the other workers. I sense some hostility.
According to prosecutor Tracy Yates, Baldwin “showed the knives to his colleague and started to shout threats like, ‘I will cut you up’.”
At his court appearance, Baldwin admitted to assault and was bailed on the condition he does not enter the Sycamore trading estate where the company operates.
I like how he showed the knives to a coworker first. Hey man — sweet knives, right? I’M GONNA STAB OUR BOSS WITH ‘EM. Did you hear that, Mr. McGillicutty?! I FEEL LIKE I’M A LITTLE CHUCKY DOLL RIGHT NOW. I’m sorry, but nobody should be threatening to stab somebody in a stress ball factory. That’s like a worker going hungry at the Little Debbie plant.
