After a self-imposed 12-hour stop in trading due to crammed servers, Tokyo-based Bitcoin exchange Mt. Gox tried to obtain back in business today with upgraded hardware– but it didn’t take long before things went wrong again. The website is currently offline due to what the exchange tells The Verge is a “substantial” DDoS attack; trading resumed for less than 2 hours.

Apple’s iOS and Microsoft Exchange Server have been cronies for quite awhile now, but because iOS 6 there’s been some problems. The current rift is a version 6.1 recurring calendar event bug that triggers “extreme communication” if you reply to an exception mistake. Cupertino’s identified the problem and states a fix is inbound, though it didn’t point out precisely when– and iOS 6.1.1 just struck gadgets to fix network connection problems, so it could not be imminent. On the other hand, Apple advises that you not react to the exception and to turn off, then allow any Exchange calendars that run amok– which should keep you BYOD-ing in the interim.

After an issue with Exchange syncing led Microsoft to recommend IT administrators block iOS 6.1 gadgets, Apple says it has actually identified the issue. The company updated its support page to say that the solution will be available in an approaching software update, and till then suggests turning off and re-enabling Exchange calendars to minimize the problem, which can trigger server strain through excessive logging.

Microsoft Exchange Conference (MEC) was an event focused on the company’s Exchange Server software that handles mail, calendars, contacts, and tasks, but it hasn’t been held for the past decade. That all changes this September 24-26, as Microsoft is reviving the event to show off Exchange 15 in Orlando, Florida. MEC 2012 attendees will be able to meet and get “exclusive content” from the Exchange team, as well as getting the chance to try out the software themselves.

TransferJet is having a hard time going mainstream, but Toshiba hasn’t given up on the close proximity wireless transfer technology yet: after taking the wraps off a small TransferJet LSI back in September last year, the company now announced it’s ready to begin shipping the first samples to electronics manufacturers.
Visitors of the CES 2012 (which kicks off on January 10 in Las Vegas) will be able to see the LSI in action at the Toshiba booth.
Sized at just 4.0×4.0× 0.5mm, the chip is designed to enable stable, quick wireless data transfer between mobile devices in particular, i.e. smartphones, tablets, or digital cameras. (TransferJet boasts a theoretically transfer speed of 560 Mbps.)
Toshiba has priced the samples at US$ 5 per unit and plans to produce one million chips monthly starting in Q2 of 2012.

Yeah. If you have a receipt. Although i would switch it for a 250 gb xbox 360. If you’re going to get the ps3 either way then you should wait because they are lowering the price soon and coming out with a new model that can’t be hacked.
