Our Lucky Day: Oh Yay, It’s A Dancing Spider Robot!

dancing-robot-spider.jpg

This is a video of a $ 1,200 PhantomX robotic spider form Trossen Robotics dancing around some guy’s living room while a couple toddlers narrate the whole thing in baby language. At one point one of them even tries to feed the robot a Hot Wheels car. That was pretty brave. Me? I’m only brave when I’m drunk. “So all the time?” I’ll jump off my balcony for a dollar. Here, hold my beer.

Hit the jump for the video and tell me what the hell those kids were selling.

Spazzes On Drugs Dancing Set To Game Of Thrones Remix

game-of-thrones-wtfery.jpg

This is a video presentation of two spazzes (plus a couple randoms who roam in) dancing their drug-loving asses off at some outdoor event, all set to a remix of the Game of Thrones theme. No idea what they were dancing to initially, however my guess is there just weren’t any bands dipping into the time. The dude in fact does some fairly cool moves, but the lady– really good lord. I’m unsure she ought to do medications OR dance ever once more.

Hit the jump for 3 minutes of WTF was that?

Dammit Japan, What The Hell?: Bar With Giant Dancing Humanoid Mechas Controlled By Bikini-Clad Girls

fembot-bar-1.jpg

These are shots from the Robotic Bistro in Tokyo. The club supplies ‘cabaret’ dances from huge fembot mechas controlled by bikini-clad ladies sitting in the front. And if the idea of that offers you a boner it’s your responsibility as a human being to get hold of that boner AND SNAP IT OFF LIKE A DRY TREE BRANCH. God you robot-lovers make me unwell.

The brand-new bistro advertised that it cost 10 billion yen – # 83 million [| $ 130 million] – to open

The robots operated by real women worn military and additional outfits will certainly do ‘cabaret’ dances for its consumers.

The robotics are themed after the character Valkyrie in the game Soul Calibur.

A flat cost of 3000 Yen – # 25 – allows entry to the robotic show and a drink.

First of all, unless the real-estate itself cost $ 120-million, there’s no method that place cost $ 130-million to open. Those mechas look slightly larger models of these $ 20,000 ones, and I don’t think they have lots of them. So where did the rest of that money go? Mirrored walls? Fancy chairs? Or \* kicks down secret door\* a lifelike robot sex doll brothel! All you perverts, OUT OF RIGHT HERE before I start punching dicks.

Hit the jump for means too numerous more shots of the WTFery.

Please Stop With The Dancing, Microsoft

Look, I get it, Microsoft. You want to show people who you know how to have fun, that even Microsoft can smile once in a while. But seriously, stop with the dancing routines. Your target audience doesn’t dance. We, at best, sway with the music, but never dance.

As GeekWire points out, the latest nightmare happened earlier this week at the Norwegian Developers Conference where several dancers took the stage and performed to a song with such classy lines as “The words MICRO and SOFT don’t apply to my PENIS! (or vagina)” and “We are here to party and coding is our drug!” Laughter can be heard throughout the video as the attendees stand nearly motionless, likely in shock as if they were witnessing a train wreck in slow motion.

This comes the week after Usher took the stage during Microsoft’s E3 keynote for a nearly equally embarrassing show.

I was sitting in the audience for Usher’s 20120 E3 performance and can attest that most of the gaming industry found the show a bit misplaced; no one got out of their seat as Usher instructed several times. John Biggs said it best, though.

And of course there is this classic 2009 video of a Microsoft Store breaking out in an not-so-impromptu flash mob-ish dance. At the time I stated the store was trying too hard, but now, three years later, as Microsoft Stores have failed to be capture shoppers like the Apple Stores Redmond is clearly coping, I think they should be applauded for at least trying something.

Please, Microsoft, I beg you. A sweaty Steve Ballmer yelling and jumping around is better for your brand than employing a dance troupe to rally your remaining fans.

He’s So Cool!: The Best ‘Guy Dancing To Michael Jackson While Making Cotton Candy’ Video You’ll Ever See

cotton-candy-dance-magic.jpg

This is a video of a guy dancing to Michael Jackson while making cotton candy. He…is a pro. I thought the guy who always makes my burritos at the local Taco Bell was good at what he does, but he never dances. This guy dances. It’s mesmerizing. And if you think I’m joking, you obviously haven’t watched the video. Feel free to skip around though, because he does go through some dramatic pauses. He just — wow. I’ve never been more serious about pursuing a career in cotton candy IN MY LIFE. This was an eye-opener.
