Android metrics show Jelly Bean adoption overtaking Ice Cream Sandwich
Google’s big shake-up of Android version metrics has already given us a better understanding of where the platform’s active users truly stand. Now that we’re a month into the new methodology, we have a good sense of where those users are going — and they’re moving to Jelly Bean in droves. Android 4.1 and 4.2 combined grew to represent 28.4 percent of regular usage, or enough to finally overtake Ice Cream Sandwich at 27.5 percent. Not surprisingly, the transition to the newer OS involved a balanced mix of users either upgrading from ICS (down by 1.8 percent) or transitioning from devices running Gingerbread or earlier (down 1.7 percent). It will be a long while before Jelly Bean becomes the dominant platform, if it ever does, but we’re not expecting a slowdown in adoption when flagships like the Galaxy S 4 and One are luring many of us into an upgrade.

Fat And Drunk: Alcoholic Wine Flavored Ice Cream

Apparently Mercer’s wine flavored ice cream has actually existed for awhile but this is the very first time I have actually become aware of it so it was NEWS TO ME. You most likely currently knew about it though and feel the desire to call me a silly idiot in the comments. DO NOT RESIST THAT RECOMMEND. Keeping back your hate will only make you more cranky and painful to be around and I make sure your pals can scarcely stand you as it is. Mercer’s Wine Ice Cream is 5 % alcohol (you need to be of age to acquire it) and comes in flavors everybody’s mom will enjoy like Cherry Merlot, Chocolate Cabernet, Peach White Zinfandel, Harbor, Red Raspberry, Chardonnay, and Riesling. Sadly, there’s no boxed wine taste and buttchugging is highly discouraged. “Brain freeze?” Anal freeze brobro.
Thanks to cancan, who agrees alcohol should not be combined with anything but the saliva in your mouth.![]()

I Need That Right Now: Moon Shaped Ice Cream Cakes

These are some moon shaped ice cream cakes made for Häagen-Dazs by Nipa Doshi and Jonathan Levien. Great try men, but we all understand the moon is composeded of cream cheese. “You mean green cheese?” Do not be absurd.
The white moon consists of a pistachio biscuit base, layers of macadamia nut ice cream and meringue and a layer of raspberry ice cream. The orange moon has crunchy chocolate at the bottom, layers of nutty ice cream and salted caramel and a finish of vanilla ice cream.
Which moon do you want? I want the white one. Well, I desire the REAL one, but I’ll go for the white ice cream one. “You’ll get nothing and like it.” I’ll get nothing and pout like a youngster. “I like it when you’re unfortunate and mad– they look good on you.” Yeah? So do bras. I like the lacy ones where you can easily still see my nips.
Thanks once again to chichi, who agrees the very best ice cream cakes are shaped like dinosaurs.

Motorola Atrix 4G will not be upgraded to Ice Cream Sandwich, despite earlier promises

Motorola has actually verified that the Atrix 4G won’t be getting an upgrade to Android 4.0 after all. The manufacturer broke the news with a current update to its Android upgrade routine, taking note that the Atrix 4G, Electrify, and Photon 4G will certainly all remain on Android 2.3 Gingerbread, rather than making the jump to Ice Cream Sandwich.
The Atrix 4G was among the handful of mobiles pegged for a Q3 2012 upgrade earlier this year, when Motorola released its unit roadmap. Of the 3 devices accredited to Gingerbread, the Atrix 4G is the oldest, having actually been released in early 2011. The Photon 4G hit the marketplace in July 2011, followed by its United States Cellular variation, the Electrify, a few months later. This would suggest, then, that owners of these …

Sony starts delivering Ice Cream Sandwich update to Xperia go, Xperia U and Xperia sola
Well, it looks like Sony’s in-house software application designers have chosen this is the ideal week to deliver delicious treats to a big part of the business’s mobile lineup. Not long after outing updates for the Tablet S and Xperia Ion (in the US), the electronics products giant is now bringing Ice Cream Sandwich to devices such as the Xperia go, Xperia U and Xperia sola. The refresh itself brings a slew of story characteristics to the trio of Xperia pieces, featuring a “new way to experience” popular music, photos and video, enhancements to the lockscreen, the ability to resize widgets and the addition of a “multitasking” button. While the standout functions remain the same throughout the board, the Xperia sola does get an added bonus in the kind of a so-called, self-explanatory glove mode– which is enabled by the device’s “drifting touch” modern technology. Sony does note that availability of the 4.0 upgrade will certainly differ by market and, not surprisingly, provider demands. Let’s just wish you get to enjoy the modifications quickly.

O2 UK denies Xperia Ray, Arc and Neo owners Ice Cream Sandwich
It’s bad news for Xperia Ray, Arc and Neo managers on O2′s UK network, as the service provider’s reported it will not be updating these Sony mobile phones to Gelato Sandwich. O2 claims it has actually tested 3 models of the OS update and decided not to approve it, due to increased hardware requirements resulting in “speed and performance” concerns. This is curious, since Sony itself had no issues getting Android 4.0 up and running on the devices– also if it did take a while. If you understand your method around a ROM, you undoubtedly stopped scoffing Gingerbread a long time ago. Nonetheless, if you’re yet to tinker and ain’t frightened by O2′s “you just can’t go back” cautions, an hour or two on some professional online forums must have you sticky in no time (at your very own danger, of course).

Now the business is going after one more particular niche portion with the just-announced GamePad. The 7-inch slate runs Android 4.0 with a dual-core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz and a quad-core Mali 400 MP GPU, and it sports physical games controls in addition to the common touchscreen. Archos includes its own “game acknowledgment and mapping tools,” which ensure that the physical buttons are suitable with Android games that utilize virtual controls (some 1,000 titles are apparently compatible with the GamePad at this point). Of course, this is an internet-enabled tool also, and it will consist of full access to the Play market and WiFi connection when it goes on sale at the end of October. Additional specs include 8GB of internal storage, plus a microSD card slot that includes up to 64GB. There’s additionally a mini-HDMI hookup for outputting material to your TV. For now, the below-the-break news release will need to satisfy your curiosity.
