Also, the video is 2:45 long which was difficult for me to endure but I did like the part when Nimoy was driving and reciting ‘The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins’ to himself, likewise making him the funner of the two motorists to ride with.

If you were, you might have found yourself onboard the first commercial 787 Dreamliner flight since the global fleet was grounded due to concerns over battery failures. The flight comes just days after the FAA approved Boeing’s fix, prompting deliveries of the new craft to resume. With Japan already having cleared the 787 for takeoff, we can expect to see a few more of them in our skies soon. We’re more interested in joining the mile-high Android club.

If the success of a commercial is measured by the number of heads it turns, then Galaxy chocolate’s latest ad is nothing short of triumphant. Set against the idyllic Mediterranean coastline of the 1960s, the company’s one-minute spot features ostensibly authentic footage of Audrey Hepburn — the late film and fashion icon whose slender, elfin visage evokes a Golden Age beauty that, for most, is beyond the realm of imitation. Yet that’s exactly what production company Framestore pulled off for Galaxy, thanks to advanced VFX techniques and a meticulous attention to detail.

Alien Storm is a 1990 beat ‘em up arcade game by Sega, later ported to the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis and Sega Master System. The Sega Mega Drive version was also released on Wii’s Virtual Console in 2007. The game appeared in Sega Mega Drive Ultimate Collection for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Plot A homicidal alien race is invading Earth, and the only thing that stands between them and world domination are a special forces team known as the “Alien Busters,” composed of Karen (absent in the Master System version, named “Karla” in some versions), Garth (named “Gordon” in some versions) and Scooter (the robot, named “Slammer” in Master System and PAL versions). Gameplay Alien Storm is a side-scrolling beat ‘em up. The game resembles Golden Axe, with a similar artistic style, three playable characters (a man, a woman, and a novelty character) and pick-up or power-up special attacks. The player (one player only on the Master System version, up to two players on the Mega Drive version, three on the arcade version) selects from the three different characters to embark upon a quest to save the Earth from an alien invasion. All of the Busters are playable from the beginning of the game. Chinese GPS alternative Beidou launches for commercial and civilian use with 16 satellites

Beidou, China’s very own competitor to GPS, is now officially offered for noncombatant and commercial use. The news was announced at a press conference the other day, where Xinhua reported that a spokesman said the service is “equivalent” to GPS, and can nailing down places by 10 meters (about 33 feet). The most conservative United States precision measurements of GPS (without enhancement systems like WAAS) can be found in at 7.8 meters, though other estimates mark accuracy at closer to 3 meters, relying on the devices made use of. According to the spokesperson, Beidou’s 16 satellites can also determine speed within 0.2 meters per second (about 0.44 mph) and the system can synchronize clocks with an accuracy of 50 nanoseconds.
