Little Red Riding Hood’s Grandma She Is Not: Russian Granny Kills Attacking Wolf With Axe And Bare Hands
Aishat Maksudova is a Russian granny who, when faced with a wolf attacking her and her livestock, took matters (technically an axe) into her own hands and chopping it in the head. She didn’t WANT to chop it in the head though, she wanted to choke it to death at first but couldn’t because one of her hands was in its mouth. No word if she tells bedside stories about all the times she’s tugged on lion tongues or yelled at sleeping dragons.
Speaking from hospital with her hand bandaged, Mrs Maksudova said she was ‘not even frightened’ during the wolf attack.
Did you read that? It just said a Russian grandma is braver than all of us combined. “I bet I could take one if I had an axe.” Take one what — a shit in your pants? Because that I believe. Best case scenario you take a swing at the thing and cut your own leg off.
Thanks to Sydney and Alan, who fight wolves the old fashioned way: in the Colosseum armed with nothing but a bone knife FOR THEIR FREEDOM.

Fall has to be the period for surprisingly fixable thin smartphones. Repair work part provider DirectFix has actually uploaded a presently rare, video-based teardown of the Motorola Droid RAZR M that reveals just exactly how well Verizon’s mid-range smartphone copes with surgical treatment. In practice, it fares fairly well: those unafraid of voiding their warranty can easily disassemble the Droid RAZR M from leading to Kevlar bottom, replacing components like the battery, camera systems and flash with a very little risk of damages. Not all is sunshine and roses, nevertheless. The display assembly is a single piece, which could be as pricey to correct as it is effortless to change. We will not mind if it ever means dodging a full-price replacement in the event our RAZR meets the walkway.

HTC and Microsoft have been mindful about what they’ll let us see of the software on the Windows Phone 8X and its 8S counterpart. Obviously, they don’t have any such compunctions about leaving the phones’ naked parts hanging in the breeze. Along with describing the essentialist, Metro-inspired philosophy behind the Windows Phone 8 devices’ design, HTC’s new behind-the-scenes video recording (after the break) shows the internals without that extra-colorful shell getting in the method. The exposé is more about the sheer need for customized hardware to match those unique enclosures than anything too outrageous– that tapered design needs some finessing on the inside, we’re informed. Whatever you think about HTC’s led tour, the business has at least learned its lesson and decided against consisting of any type of unforeseen prototypes this time around. iFixit, is no device safe from the scars of your screwdriver? These eyes have been scarred, forced to witness the destruction of yet another childhood icon. Previously it was the RCA Studio II and the Magnavox Odyssey 100 before that. Now it’s the rather more memorable Atari 2600 going under the scalpel, four simple screws removed to reveal an eight-bit, 1.19MHz processor featuring 128 bytes of RAM (yes, a massive 1,024 bits) and a graphics adapter capable of 192 x 160 resolution with 128 colors — though only four could be used on any given line. Through these humble beginnings the cartridge-based console was born… and now here it rests.
