T-Mobile myTouch SLIDE 3G Review (ALL Questions ANSWERED)

My Hands on preview/review of the T-mobile MyTouch Slide, remember to subscribe!!! PLEASE READ through the comments before asking questions… Here are some of the common questions you guys are asking: Q: How much does the phone cost? A: $400 full price, $150 after a $50 mail in rebate with a 2 year contract. Q: When does it release? A: June 2nd, 2010 Q: How is the battery life? A: Its been alright so far, I can definitely manage it to last a full day although some users may have trouble doing so. Whats cool is that the phone has a detailed battery report which gives you a run down on what features are draining your battery life which in turn helps you manage the phone better. If I had to give the battery life a score it would be a 6.5/10 where my Blackberry 8900 is a 9.5/10…this by far is my only REAL gripe with the phone. Q: How much does the data plan/internet cost? A: Depending on your plan it can range anywhere from $25-$30 a month. Call T-Mobile to find out how much you would pay, or visit the website. Q: This or the Nexus 1/HD2/Evo4G? A: This is based on your opinion honestly. The N1′s/HD2/Evo’s specs absolutely demolish the specs on this phone BUT even with that said some ppl can’t be without a physical keyboard myself included. If you don’t mind NOT having a keyboard get the Nexus/Evo…I still wouldn’t recommend the HD2 for the fact that Windows 6.5 is dated and pretty much sucks if you ask me… Q: What firmware/version is it on? A: Android 2.1 update 1 with

@untouchable4rc Does the battery last you through and entire day?

  • untouchable4rc:

@kiddmark66 The battery life is by far my biggest complaint but it is manageable. I did also experience a glitch with my contact syncing but its all good now.

Now that you have had this phone for awhile do you have any complaints about anything? Any shortcomings that are worthy of noting? Thanks for any reply you may have.

  • untouchable4rc:

@cArLoS258KKid As long as it doesn’t have DRM yes you can. You won’t be able to sync music through iTunes but there’s an app called DoubleTwist that lets you do this I believe.

  • untouchable4rc:

@remice212 The iPhone 4 looks ridiculously awesome, I wish they had included Tmobiles 3G bands in there but they didn’t. :(

  • Sh3llshock361:

Nice review. I thought the phone wouldn’t be as good as I thought it would but I gotta say I ate my words. Dying to get this

  • craigcinca:

    great review man, thx!

  • untouchable4rc:

@VietAzn31 The MyFaves screen/icons are done for. From here on out no Tmobile phones will have that feature. BUT if you still have a myFaves plan you’ll still get the benefits of unlimited calling to those 5 numbers.(in order to edit them you’ll just have to call customer care)

Every smartphone on your account would require its own Data plan including the Mytouch Slide
