In 2003, Stephen established the Sustainable Solutions Caravan, a nonprofit organization promoting sustainable living by driving numerous buses running on recycled vegetable oil from San Francisco, California to Costa Rica. This resulted in the co-founding of the Conscious Item Alliance. The “Veggie Bus” travels the nation as an eco showroom featuring coconut floors, bamboo paneling, natural latex cushions covered in hemp, reused paper countertops, an alcohol fueled range and solar panels providing electricity. In 2005 Stephen co-founded Kopali Organics, a business which sources and establishes sustainable, natural products from little farm cooperatives globally”
