Star Wars themed Xbox Kinect set a good buy?
Question by : Star Wars themed Xbox Kinect set a good buy?
Okay, so I admit that I’m a bit of a Star Wars nerd. No big deal. There’s a new R2-D2 themed Xbox with the C-3PO remote. I gotta have it. But is it a good buy? I don’t have an Xbox, I got the Ps3 instead. The pre-order set is $ 449 with Kinect & game. Yay or Nay?

It’s too early to say how good of a game Kinect Star Wars will be, but there are plenty of decent Kinect games out, and plenty more on the way. In terms of the system itself, you are paying a bit of a premium because it is limited edition. You’re also getting a 320GB hard drive and a brand new game, whereas the bundle a step down comes with a 250GB hard drive and an older game.
So, is it a good buy? From a pure monetary value standpoint, it would be slightly cheaper to go with another bundle. For a Star Wars fan, however, it’s certainly not a bad deal. Check out a video of the thing in action – it’s pretty sweet.
