Samsung SCH-I200 ‘Jasper’ rumored with Android 4.0, high-end Qualcomm S4 chip

If you’re a Verizon Wireless user who’s put off by the Galaxy Nexus’ high price tag, it looks like Samsung might be working on a new phone for you. PocketNow has found a Bluetooth SIG filing and a GLBenchmark entry for a yet-to-be-announced Samsung SCH-I200 “Jasper.” According to the benchmarks, the phone has a dual-core, 1.5GHz Qualcomm S4 MSM8960 chip — an SoC that is no slouch and can be found in HTC’s high-end One X on AT&T. Since this rumored phone is on Verizon and is using that chipset, we’d highly suspect it’ll have LTE support as well. Other than the horsepower, the phone’s revealed to be running Ice Cream Sandwich on a 800 x 480 screen — a resolution that’s quickly becoming out-of-date when compared to the 720p norm now…
