Great progress. One day we’ll be able to build a fully functional Dalek and humanity will be over.

    I wish I had the money for 278 e-pucks ;)

it’s played backwards))) COZ… the robots finished their mission almost the same time! if they wanted to do it’s looking really, the should be starting each robot instantly and by time saparation, a then play it back)

  • xoxspliff:

soon, they will be getting the public to work like this.. mindless and controlled.

  • pomeroy600287:

yeah, I think the robots are going backwards, because if you look at the close ups near the start, you can see that the bit of the robot that touches the ground (not including wheels) is in the front, and, logically, it should be at the back, to keep it on a straight course, like the tail on an aeroplane or a kite. or having a supermarket trolley wheel and pushing it forward so it swivels, then trying to make it go backwards without swiveling round again. difficult.

    @dimented24x7
    That’s actually what they’ve done.

  • dimented24x7:

It also could have been run in reverse. IOW, the robots start at the desired points and then swarm outward. The final result is simply the video played in reverse.

  • fundash:

actually, there is technology to do that, but it cost like billions of dollars…

I don’t think it was CGI, but maybe like magnets under the table?

maybe they actually did buy robots that can do that, i’m sure it wasn’t cheap though…

  • Sancho0330:

    precise*

  • Sancho0330:

That’s CGI; the technology doesn’t exist yet to perform something that percise.

  • Tidermans:

Ah no way! That was brilliant

  • sonicboy94:

i want a pack of bots

  • skierplaterandy:

they were assembled then moved away. it was played backwards. if they were all moving independently they cannot assemble that quickly. they would need to go around each other and figure out where to go.
