Potentially Cloneable Wooly Mammoth Found In Siberia

Scientists are checking out a well conserved woolly mammoth carcass discovered in Siberia with the hopes of finding living cells inside and cloning one of the beasts. It’s a far cry from a dinosaur, but I would certainly still ride one into struggle against the giants.

Russia’s North-Eastern Federal University stated an intercontinental group of researchers had actually discovered mammoth hair, soft tissues and bone marrow some 328 feet (100 meters) underground throughout a summer exploration in the northeastern province of Yakutia.

Exploration chief Semyon Grigoryev said Korean scientists with the group had set a goal of locating living cells in the hope of cloning a mammoth. Analysts have formerly located bones and fragments but not living cells.

Now I know what you’re thinking, and no, I don’t wish to bang one. It’s not a dinosaur. Just since they cloned something that was extinct doesn’t mean I wish to get intimate with it. That would certainly resemble going to a bar with the purpose of creating with the best lady there and opting for dry-humping a barstool. I have requirements, individuals. They’re reasonable, but they’re standards.

Thanks to Jen, who’s still not convinced we won’t be able to clone dinosaurs one day. Exact same, Jen– KEEP THE DREAM ALIVE.
