Nintendo has announced New Super Mario Bros 2 for 3DS. The game will be out in August in Japan, and is in the same 2D/3D style as the previous New Super Mario Bros games on DS and Wii. We have little to go on in the way of gameplay specifics, but Nintendo will undoubtedly show more of the game at E3 in June. The company also announced a major 3DS firmware update coming April 25th that will enable folder organization (finally!) and allow game patches and upgrades to be issued easily.
