News Update: Microsoft Unveiled Windows Phone 7 Games, Including Integration With Xbox Live Portal
Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) confirmed that the Windows Phone 7 will feature tight integration with the Xbox Live portal, including Halo: Waypoint and Crackdown 2, according to a New York Times report. The hone will have a dedicated games “hub” and will feature free demos and multiplayer gaming, as well as pulling in a user’s console-based Xbox Live profile. Microsoft Game Studio general manager of mobile gaming Matt Booty said that the launch of Windows Phone 7 was also the launch of a “major mobile gaming platform” for Windows.
