I have a 32GB xoom, but without 3G Verizon. I saw that there’s space for a SIM card. am I capable of connecting to the 3G network if I root the xoom tablet?
if roting will allow me to increase the system response volipume for.keypresses fix the zoom issues with wallpapers, allow kerosene increase the frame rates on the sisplay, allow full access to micro SD, whatelse dot it allow?…forgivemy ignorance, I just need tomakean educated decision about rooting my Xoom

Sorry I couldn’t reply sooner… This tutorial is made for the 3.0 version, there is mixed luck with the 3.1 version… But don’t worry, I am sending you a message with the link to get things fixed.
ok i managed to fix boot.img error but now when i go to fastboot reboot device go black like its rebooting dual core screen appears doesnt continue to boot just hangs there when i type in adb remount tells me device offline even now while im typing to u the screen hasnt moved
does this root method apply to wifi version running 3.1 update
did everything as you said by pasting the commands error comes up cannot load boot.img after pasting fastboot flash boot boot.img
hey dude what if i got the superuser icon but no root requiring app works, they do not ask for superuser permissions……. what may the problem be?
why is the last command needed? adb shell, if we are not tossing any more commands in!

as of right now, none. The only Tegra 2 honeycomb tablet in the U.S. running a GSM modem is the GG-slate from T-mobile, as far as I know.
which model works with a gsm sim card
There is no GSM modem in it so, no it won’t work… even if it had hardware in the slot it would be for an LTE sim card not GSM…
so the xoom has a dark grey back and doesnt say verizon and the model is mz604 and runs android 3.0.1 does that mean i cannt put a gsm sim card in there and use the internet of of the sim card (3g)
All of them have the Sim card slot, They just aren’t functional on all.If it has a silver back, Doesn’t say Verizon and if the model is MZ604 it is a Wi-Fi Model for sure. lol… But check if your running 3.0.1 or 3.1 because the root method is a little different for 3.1
