Modify your Honeycomb Interface Experience with Circle Launcher and Minimalistic Text

Fast payday loans For Every One

Blog Article: www.sleeplessninja.com Every once in a while you browsing online and you come across something that just makes you stop. I happen to be looking at an older post on Droid Life about customizing your droid interface and a person by the name of ghoticov posted a picture of his Xoom, and I immediately envious. When I saw this I knew what my next video would be on and so I went on to create my very own User Interface. A little digging led me to discover a few of the culprits behind ghoticov’s design, Minimalistic Text and Circle Launcher.

Great tutorial video, for those willing to sit through the whole thing! :) I like how you show practical use for your particular needs, and explain how things work exactly.

I’m on a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1″ but same idea :)

    @sleeplessninjas Great picture then. ;)

  • sleeplessninjas:

@Gielb88 it is actually a picture of my cat :-) . Put when I get home later I can post it

  • Gielb88:

Could you give us a link to the wallpaper?

  • SuperStirFryTofu:

Thank you so much. Your Xoom vids are so helpful! :)

  • jayanvoy:

    tnx man

  • sleeplessninjas:

@jayanvoy So this is a customized time. So if you click on your widget and go to Custom Layout (this is not a predifined widget layout) . You then have the options to add particular peices to the layout by clickng on the green circle that has a plus on it. So the time peices i got from the Clock tab. The colon was something I did manually if you go into the Misc tab, you can select static text. Then just Add a colon there. And you can add virtually any text to your screen this way.

  • jayanvoy:

hey man, after this video, i had a little problem. I saw you had a colon on you screen where you use minimalistic text to display the timer. could you tell me where i can find this little colon? I just cant find it on my minimalistic..

  • sleeplessninjas:

@Zolarmew if you google ghoticov and minimalistic text you should find his forum posts which he describes how he did this. He frequents XDA Forums. I believe its minimalistic text, but he customized it

  • Zolarmew:

In that pic of the other guys Xoom what battery widget was he using? Thats exactly what I’ve been looking for :3

  • sleeplessninjas:

@stansberry2295 its standard with widget, it comes in many sizes. Sure ill do a in depth video on minimalistic text

  • stansberry2295:

how did you make your circle battery widger so big? also can you make a tutorial on how to use minimalistic text? great videos keep up the good work!

  • FlyYouFools88:

Looks awesome :) thanks for this.

  • ghoticov:

Circle Launcher will be implementing larger widget sizes in version 2.0. Once that happens, I am ALL OVER THIS. lol

  • ffal139:

hey man keep the xoom videos coming……thanks

  • sleeplessninjas:

@SoFLKeith Yes, the same thing happens to me. The nice thing about circle launcher is you can make your own. I don’t know the exact details but from reading what others have done, that is the route they usually take.

  • SoFLKeith:

With circle launcher, do you have an issue when selecting to “Download more icons”? When I click that, it takes me to the market but doesn’t show me anything related. Just wanting more icon choices. Thanks for the videos!
