iPad 2 Vs BlackBerry Playbook- Speed Test

C-NET! Real. Get ready, ’cause it’s coming. By “it,” I’m of course referring to the deluge of tablets ready to flood the market. Make no mistake, in the next two to three months, consumers will have more tablet options than they know what to do with. This week sees the launch of RIM’s long-awaited BlackBerry PlayBook. This tablet is targeted at an arguably esoteric market, and includes the expected features aimed at that business demographic, but it also includes features that average shoppers are looking for. Check out the full review for more details, but before you do that, read the PlayBook’s speed results in their entirety. Testing Site-loading speed is one of the simplest things to test, and it’s a test many users can immediately relate to. I’m a greater fan of real-world tests, like going to actual, real sites, than of synthetic benchmarks. We used three different Web sites for the tests: CNET.com, CBSNews.com, and GiantBomb.com. Each tablet was connected to the same closed network with no other devices on it, with the router about 5 feet away. We considered the test to begin the moment we pressed Enter and ended the iteration when the blue progress bar on each tablet disappeared. We used iOS 4.3.1 for the iPad 2; the Xoom is using Android OS 3.0.1, with the Chrome browser. just saying that the playbook is a lot better because of flash and html5 support. ipads are way too overpriced and playbooks are a great price. thats why im getting a playbook.
When the Playbook went on sale is it was $599, Blackberry said, we need to lower the price to compete with other major tablets. Thus creating a great deal of only $199 for a tablet.

It’s $199 now! Wit V2.0 you can now use Android Apps. I ditched my iPad2, gave it away actually, and love the Playbook SO much more. Easier to use one handed when reading ebooks, switching back and forth between music (while reading ebook etc). SO much better than the iPad.
haha this is fucking stupid , i bought my ipad 2 because i love it and it have great apps , not because it loads a page 2 seconds faster than the blackberry playbook
The iPad is faster because it accomplishes less. I don’t mind waiting a few more seconds in order to enjoy a full web experience. This comparison is about as unbiased as Michael Moore.

well it’s getting cheaper day by day and after that, new gadgets come. which means the item that we want to buy is already out of date. but still, iphone 3gs is still fancy and up to date. hoho

obviously this is Apple fanboys. Whatever it is, if I managed to get an Ipad or Playbook, I’ll be thankful. Not everybody can afford these gadgets.

its only slower cuz it has to load the flash content obviously. so the playbook is better
