Intel shows off hybrid tablet / ultrabook prototype running Windows 8 at IDF 2012

Intel’s 2012 Developer Forum took place last week in Beijing, and reports of innovations are starting to make the rounds, including this hybrid tablet / ultrabook prototype that Intel has dubbed the Letexo. There aren’t any specs available (though it does appear to be running on Intel’s Ivy Bridge platform), but what makes the Letexo noteworthy is its form factor. It can be used in a standard tablet configuration, but users can also push the screen up and prop it against a built-in stand to reveal a keyboard, letting it be used in a more traditional laptop-style format. Also of note is the fact that this prototype was running Windows 8, though that’s not too surprising, given Intel’s interest in Microsoft’s next OS. It sounds like this…
