the Windows SDK is the worst kinect for pc program
What’s good a technology if it only works on Windows and with Windows, if it has no open standards and published API’s, if it requires hardware from chosen vendors and finally if it written from Microsoft?
It amounts to nothing…
So i have installed the SDK, light on the kinect is flashing but why isnt my computer picking up the kinect? it wont show up as an Recording device and in computer management where it says “microsoft kinect” it only shows one choice (microsoft kinect device). there no Microsoft kinect audio array or Microsoft kinect camera. please reply soon!

Please can u explain the different bt Kinect for windows and XBOX 360, same machine (they write Kinect for windows for some machine while they write XBOX 360) can they do same work?
i got that exact kinect but i don’t know if it has the plug and the usb part doesn’t fit in my laptop
a mac?
where can you you get the speach command program
The depth sensor does not work the way you described it. This is important because it is what makes the device so cheap and precise. It projects an infrared dot array pattern through a precise dispersing lens, reads it back through a similar lens, and uses the space between the reflected dots to calculate various distances to objects using a simple trig function. It’s called Light Coding.
this a fantastic video, i found this one on chatitout (.com) website
What are the best and worst features of this SDK? Thanks in advance!
