Wouldn’t a string or rope be easier?
Start by defining how you are going to have the robot move and how it will pull, then begin working on mobility platform and arm/crane/wench/manipulator mechanism and connect the two. Lots and lots of work.

Mike1942 is right, you are asking for something not unlike a nuclear bomb to kill a fly. If you must use something exotic, use a timer circuit that is initiated by a flash light. Timer counts down, turns on a motor that pulls a string, or pulls a lever to pull the pin on the trebuchet. What I just described is, in fact, a type of “robot” circuit. Simple some times wins a bigger prize than something sophisticated that doesn’t work, and leaves you being laughed at.
