google maps require massive data downloads . even in a proper pc still got lags .

why is google maps laggy?

I think that there is something wrong with it
@almadlamy hardware dependent other than motion sensor and GPS?
This makes me want to switch the HD1 with HD2 
They do this on purpuse I think.
@barbieR89 are you sure it is no the normal standby? If so it would turn instantly on when pressing the power button. Otherwise try to reset it eider by the button on the back or by the software reset function.
Is the compass software only or also hardware? Because I am curious if the software would work on HD1.

guys/ girls shall i get the HTC HD2 or the milestone (droid) when it hits the uk?? i use my phone mostly for txting, calling (obviously lol) internet, simple games and music and internet. i know both phones in terms of hardware will do but what about the OS???
