Reddit user Malplace opened a brand-new laptop to discover that a 3-minute web cam video clip of the factory floor at HP’s professional, Quanta, was sitting in Windows’ My Documents folder. If you’re searching for scandal from the footage, however, you will not locate it right here: Chongqing Manufacturing City’s staff are shown dutifully moving the assembly line along in just what resembles fair conditions, if exceptionally recurring. The example is most likely merely a rare gaffe throughout screening at a maker that pumps out millions of HP PCs every quarter, so we’ll cut Quanta some slack. It’s still an uncommon glimpse into a side of technology that’s considered off-limits for much of the purchasing public.
