I have a brand new HD2 and the language is in Deutsch. Do I have to install HSPL to install just a stock English ROM?

  • htcxda:

Oh erm, Im not really sure, Im only just getting into rom building ect, so Im not sure. Maybe if you dumped it in envirus visual kitchen you could then always come back to it?

  • parmar1:

Hi, I know of SPB but I think I didn’t make myself clear. What I meant was that I want to dump my ROM and reconstruct it so that I can reflash to that in the future if I need to for warranty purposes. SPB only offers to backup user data.

  • htcxda:

haha yeah as I said Im sorry about the focus :/
Erm yes in the future I can sure do that for you :) Take a look at SPB backup, its just what you want

  • parmar1:

That was pretty painful to watch due to the focusing problem but it got the point across. Nice one!
    You mentioned it’s a mini-usb connector, it’s actually a micro-usb connector. The mini ones are bigger. :)
I want to flash mine with a custom ROM but I want to backup my existing stock ROM first (I cannot find an exact match for it anywhere to download). Can you show how to do that?
