How come in Dragonball Z, the term Android was reversed to Cyborg?
Question by josh: How come in Dragonball Z, the term Android was reversed to Cyborg?
Now it’s said that Android 17 and 18 are part humans. But that means that they’re Cyborgs not Androids. Android 16 is an actually Android but when Cell tried to absorb his energy, he claims that he is a full Cyborg.

Android 16 is a full cyborg cause he is totally machine (notice his voice). 17 and 18 have human parts in them. But remember that DBZ came out in the 1990′s and back then Android and Cyborg were pretty much the same thing. I’m pretty sure most people today still don’t know the difference.
