For The Love of LED’s and a Dress
![]() |
What do you get when you add 24,000 LED lights to a dress? Simple, a dress Thats Bad Ass!! I am in Las Vegas right now and saw the light up shirts and I am drawn to light flashy things like a moth to a bug zapper. This is the "Galaxy Dress" which claims to the largest wearable light display in the world. Currently on display at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago. Designers Francesca Rosella and Ryan Genz, from CuteCircuit, said in email "We used the smallest full-color LEDs, flat like paper, and measuring only 2 by 2 mm,”. “The circuits are extra-thin, flexible and hand-embroidered on a layer of silk in a way that gives it stretch so the LED fabric can move like normal fabric with lightness and fluidity.” If you really want details head over to CuteCircuit but if not here is a video: |
