Docomo launching new Disney Android phones; Panasonic’s European prototype out in Japan this month?

NTT Docomo has announced two Disney-branded Android smartphones for the Japanese market. The Panasonic P-05D is out towards the end of this month, and has a 4.3-inch 720p OLED screen, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, and 13.1 megapixel camera. Here’s the interesting part for non-Disney fans — it appears to be nearly identical to the reference prototype Panasonic said was destined for the European market, although that model only had a qHD (960 x 540) display. Maybe Panasonic’s keeping the best screens for its home market, or maybe it’s planning to pull out all the stops for its imminent European debut.
