    @ MrJambalaja
get a better job to make more money or make better choices of what you buy. YOU KNOW that your stuff is going to be outdated, if you look at the pattern of technology and look at the current day, our advancements are going fast so why would you think that it would stick around? your point is not a valid argument.

Wow, it’s the movie version of “The Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy” on the end.

    @mercedesbenz4

It’s new, that’s what makes it expensive.

looking for something to invest in? I’d say OLED’s it.

  • spartan9180:

OLED; IE ORGANIC light emitting diode (I think) Since it is organic, I do believe there is a ‘life expectancy problem. I’m sure it’s a reasonable long time though.

  • melak6:

    wow nice

  • MrJambalaja:

i cant belive not again i have no problem with Technology but this make me angry you buy something new and 1 year its only crap like a blueray player and next year you read that the new 3d blueray disc that cant read your bluerayplayer.
and that thing with the consoles making me crazy you buy it like ps3 or xbox360 after 2 or 4 years comes a new in a few years you go crazy about that.i now i dont need this things anymore when you buy it you get poor and have in reality nothing oh i need to end

that’s all nice and all but what’s the life expectancy of this technology?? I think that’s what they are still working on. I think laser t.v. might be better.

Imagine one the size of one whole end wall of a room, top to bottom, side to side- talk about home theater-!! If they got the thing down to a reasonable cost per square foot, all you have to do is toss in a halfway decent sound system and it doesnt get any better-! Like the guy said, like anything cutting edge, it will get cheaper– said it doesnt need anywhere near the pricey materials as LCD’s, so theres a good chance once everyones making them we will be able to own one for a decent price.

  • superpaper99:

the answer qould be that its fucking amazing…..HA….

seriously tho. think about it. y r hd tvs price going down so fast now.. there old news. answer that..

  • mrh112:

just think by 2040 this stuff will replace wall paper and you could turn your living room into outer space or sleep under the stars in a desert (that is if they make it for flooring as well) in your own bedroom :P

  • daza1992:

they havn’t found the cheap chinese rip off yet lmao ;) , i think personally it looks smart as fuck but yeah i agree price is the decider of technology these days to expensive it wont take off, to cheap the company will go bust by ripoffs got to get it spot on lol

  • inachu:

Also less heat than a lcd and tube tv.

  • Renst33:

For the same reason that any new electronics technology is more expensive at first. The initial investment is huge, with many years of R&D to pay for and no production facilities in place. They may have to design and build new factory machines to produce the displays.
When their costs come down (through years of mass-production), so do yours.

  • Ankstek013:

    lol @ 0:59

  • manpreetsingh9243:

the production is no doubt very cheaper but suppose that u have invented some this unique which is made in world for the first time and the demand of your invention touches sky than guess at what price will u sell the product

  • mercedesbenz4:

if they say it will become cheaper than lcd because it dosen’t have all those backlights…ect so what makes it so exepensive now? awnser that!!!

  • stumbo2w:

    Remember how expensive plasmas were?

  • stumbo2w:

Ill buy one, but it has to offer full wireless video, battery powered, full lifetime warranty, and only 20 bucks, or im sticking with my CRT.

  • Kl1054:

that’s cool, one day you’ll be able to buy a 20 OLED sheet from walmart, stick it to your bedroom wall (assuming it comes with an adhesive backing) and then hook up a video output. coooool.
