So Ferrari will announce Alonso as their driver ahead of Suzuka, what is left for Kimi?

Question by Survivor Fan – Russell FTW: So Ferrari will announce Alonso as their driver ahead of Suzuka, what is left for Kimi?
Will Kimi go to McLaren, which team will he be in 2010?

And why does Ferrari favour Massa so heavily,I don’t think he’s that great of a driver?

If Kimi goes to McLaren, then Alonso-Massa of Ferrari against Kimi-Lewis of McLaren which pairing will win?

Best answer:

Answer by The Manimal
I think Lewis/Kimi is a far better paring than Alonso/Massa.

I can’t understand why they’re going to such great lengths to replace raikkers despite him being a much better driver than massa and he just gets on with it. Can you imagine Alonso being a good number two to massa!? In Raikkonen/Massa they’ve got a very strong pairing with no conflict. I think Kimi’s at least as fast as alonso. He’s like Hamilton but with fewer errors but less motivation. Lewis/Kimi if the car’s on par with Ferrari would dominate. but who’d win out of lewey and kimi? there’s very little between tham but the teams more favourable to lewey so I think he’d take full advantage

Was there ever a debate between Tesla and Edison? Could their rivalry be considered a debate?

Question by : Was there ever a debate between Tesla and Edison? Could their rivalry be considered a debate?
I am working on a project for the National History Day competition, and this years theme is Debate and Diplomacy in History: Sucesses, Failures and Consequences.

I read about the rivalery between Tesla and Edison, and was wondering if it would fall under the category of debate.

Best answer:

Answer by Tim
not really
it was more along the lines of Edison slandering alternating current by showing what it could do
(all of which could also be done by direct current)

Should Ferrari withdraw their cars to protest?

Question by Three Putt: Should Ferrari withdraw their cars to protest?
I have been reading some Ferrari fan forums and F1 forums in general. I think the Ferrari fans know they can’t win this season. A few fans have mentioned that if Mclaren is again not punished at the Sept appeal, Ferrari should withdraw their cars in protest because they have nothing to lose.

So, if Mclaren gets no penalty for having Ferrari IP, should Ferrari pull their cars from the remaining races and re-examine their commitment to F1 for 2008?

Best answer:

Answer by T. Junior
No, I think they should continue to race and let the system work itself out, even though we know nothing will happen to McLaren. It would be a disservice to the fans to withdraw their cars… not that F1 really cares about the fans anyway.

Is McLaren’s decision to stick with their KERS a statement?

Question by rockpool248: Is McLaren’s decision to stick with their KERS a statement?
BMW Sauber and Renault have ditched it. Even Ferrari have used their’s on tracks supposedly suited for it. But McLaren have persisted with their unit. Being the chosen supplier of KERS in 2010 (was it? correct me if I’m wrong), are McLaren making a sort of a political/commercial statement by using their KERS at every race? I mean, if the maker of the unit has no confidence in their unit, how can you expect others to want to use it?

Best answer:

Answer by Willetts No1 Lewis Hamiltion Fan
Out of all the cars that have used KERS. Mclaren have been the best. I don’t know if it’s the car or if it’s because it’s made by them. There’s have never failed them in any race, but other teams have had problems with there KERS. I’d like to know why. One day we might find out.
