Why did Ferrari always used to have the number 27 and 28 cars?
Question by EmphaticItalic: Why did Ferrari always used to have the number 27 and 28 cars?
I’ve noticed it seems to be a tradition that Ferrari choose to have cars number 27 and 28 regardless of their performance in the constructor’s championship (with the exception when they win the driver’s championship). They’ve chosen not have those numbers for quite some time now, but they still used to have 27/28 in the early 90s. I noticed that the Ducati MotoGP team have 27 and 28 this year too.

Its not the fact they have chosen not to have those numbers but because it depends where they finished in the contructors championship the year before that gives them their numbers. As for the past, don’t have a clue.
