Who else is fed up of the Ferrari biased in Formula One?
Question by BARRY C: Who else is fed up of the Ferrari biased in Formula One?
Hamilton won fair and square, Ferrari can let their cars out in front of anyone in the pits, kill their refueller but it they never get punished, McLaren do nothing wrong and get penalised big time. Next they will probablt say Kimis crash wasn’t his fault and give him 2nd

Yep I am! So, despite Ferrari breaking the rules in Valencia by releasing Massa in the pit lane when it was dangerous, he didn’t get a drive through because it didn’t effect the outcome of the race as there was no collision but the GP2 teams do get drive through penalties. It is clear from yesterday’s race that Lewis couldn’t do much to avoid cutting the chicane but gave the place back straight away but they still think a 25 second penalty is appropriate. They must have some kind of screw loose! Do they really think that people can’t see how biased they are towards Ferrari?!?! It’s an absolute farce!

>will formula one racing be drastically different in ten years?
Based on the past, you can probably predict that some aspects will be drastically different, while many others remain virtually the same, and the sport in generall while likely remain much as it has (ie, looking back 10 years, or even 20, we’ve seen a massive number of changes in technology and how’s it’s applied and how the rules have adopted around it… yet in the end more things are similar in the sport overall despite the drastic changes).
>Also I keep seeing all these ugly prototype pictures of future Porsche, Ferrari and Lamborghini models, I would like to know if they could really happen?
Of course it could… could by definition means there is a chance. It might be a very small chance and would depend on the specific car. Some prototypes are design and test exercises, some are meant to gauge reactions or work as a test bench to develop a new model, and others actually have the potential to go to production (even if they don’t). All of the companies you mention have used all kinds in the past and will likely continue that trend into the futre. So yes, they could, but that doesn’t mean they will (or won’t).

What should I do to get in to the Formula 1 Scuderia Ferrari team.?
Question by halofreak1357: What should I do to get in to the Formula 1 Scuderia Ferrari team.?
I’m a die hard Ferrari F1 fan but I don’t even have a driver’s license. I just want some direction for future reference.
By being on the team, I mean being a driver. Not a test driver, but a full-fledged racer.

I spoke to some of the Spyker team last year and I got speaking to the lad who just works on the gearbox of the car and he did his apprenticeship with cosworth and from there ended up getting into the Jordon F1 team which had a cosworth engine and hes been with the team ever since but the team has changed names a few times, it will be called Force India this year.
You could also get a job doing PR, I was guest of Honda F1 last year and this bloke should me round and his job basically is to make Honda look good, and he travels all over the world with the team.
If you want to be a racing driver it will be more difficult you need to be good but also have a big bank account, to give you an idea of cost, when I was karting my Kart cost in total £5000 and that’s before I start racing it, and when I had ago in an Formula Audi single seater it was £1000 just for a days testing and for a whole season of racing it would cost £60,000, a friend of my dad owns an F3 team and to race for his team would cost £300,000 just for a season, so you can imagine the cost of F1.
Thats the info I can give you, hope I have been some help.

No McLaren Mercedes is a British team, based in Woking, you would have noticed that after a very quick `Google` indeed.
It was named after their sadly departed founder Bruce McLaren who was a New Zealander. The name McLaren, as I am sure you know, is of Scottish or Irish origin.
In Italy I have never met, seen or heard of anyone with the name McLaren. DeLaurentis, yes, McLaren no.
As for Mercedes it was named in honour of a little girl, but even that issue is shrouded by the fog of mystery and legend.
