How to Plant and Take Care of Lotus Flower?
Question by : How to Plant and Take Care of Lotus Flower?
I want to get a lotus flower for my garden (not a pond) but don’t know to much about it. I know it’s part of the water lilly family and therefore I was going to put a big pot in the ground and fill it with water and put the flower in there. Has any one had experience with this? Thanks.

I have one in a pot it is doing well 1 st year so no flowers just yet, lots of leaves!! Looks happy, have to check on the water level often.

Putting your plant in a pot full of water is probably the best way to raise a lotus. They hate moving water. They are heavy feeders, so be ready to give them aquatabbs as needed…usually every 10 days or so. They want as much sun as you can provide for good growth and blooming.
