The front of the Panamera looks like a Toyota MR2. Hideous. I’d much rather the Aston.

they need to stop using this track, goes up and with terrible traction, and wet to boot, they need to pic a space thats straight and good traction, i hate seeing them get terrible times with all there cars they test.
The lack of enthusiasm from auto journalists never ceases. Is it a requirement to look as drab and emotionless as possible whilst testing such machinery? – Maybe it’s only British auto-journalists.
I too thought Panamera was oddly designed..especially at the back like they did with the Cayman but unlike Cayman this thing grows onto ya and performancewise I think it will have a real rival with Lambo Estoque..althought they are both under same shelter now, I think they still will fill poles apart.
As with Aston..yeah it looks better than Panamera but arent they getting a bit too repetitive ? I mean same thing ppl were saying @ Porsche 911 designs…copy pasting
@dangonchi I don’t mean to be rude but I don’t think that makes a difference. To divide sedans into different classes you have a few categories: wheelbase, length, power, and price; passenger capacity is usually not something to distinguish them. Even so, I understand the benz and the audi weren’t there; the porsche and aston are more sporty brands. But the Maserati should be in there.
@buttnut1080 buddy i hate to correct you but he is right, although the s8 has 450 hp ,the quattroporte s around 440 and the s63 around 500 which makes them worthy opponents when it comes to engine power the categories for rivals are also determined by occupancy, in other words the panamera and the rapide can only fit four people the mercedes, audi and maserati are five people car therefore the only real rival is the panamera

He’s wrong. He said the Panamera’s “only real rival is the Rapide” at 0.21. That is completely false. Ever hear of the Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT S? No? How about the Mercedes S63 AMG? No again? How about the Audi S8? Oh that’s odd.
still no wonder how much the Porsche is better than the Aston Martin in terms of price and performance, i would definitely go for the Aston because of its sound, and style. JUST LOOK AT IT!

Really It’s just a 4 door DB9 which I’m afraid doesn’t work well especially with those silly bucket seats to support you from what? soft cornering from a GT car?
The Porsche corners more vigorously yet it doesn’t have those seats and about the Panamera, good car but they never innovated the 4 door coupe styling. Maserati and Mercedes started the competition a couple of years ago.
The Panamera is better looking in person and the fit & finish rivals ANYTHING Aston Martin can build.

Again the opinions regarding the looks are subjective.
Each with his own taste, if you like it more it doesn’t mean that everyone likes it.
That “turn more heads” it’s pure assumption, you’ll never know if it would or not turn more heads the the porsche, and besides if i, a rapide owner, would really give a crap about how many heads i turn, i would certainly sell my rapide and get a italian exotic.
